Ojai Rotie - Featured Reviews (231)
Ojai Roti is extremely satisfying but not amazing. The atmosphere is fun and the service is solid but the food delivery is slow. The garlic spread alone is reason enough to go (if you like garlic). The bread is amazing as are the potatoes and the watermelon cooler. The rotisserie chicken was dry but good. The cookies were overdone. All said, this place is worth a stop.
Came here with my sister for a quick day trip to ojai and saw this place had some good reviews. I’m honestly shocked this restaurant doesn’t have at least 4.8 stars, it’s that good. We split the whole chicken which comes with two sides, pita, and a whisper of garlic spread. Only complaint would be: come on guys, give us more garlic dip! The chicken was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The sides were incredibly fresh and paired so well. Definitely want to come back and try more of this Lebanese menu.
Top chicken, seasoned real nice. Lamb kofta was freshly made with excellent herbs and spices. A must. The baguette was top too. Bare minimum service, casual atmosphere, but that’s okay cause the food is ace.
We ordered the lamb skewers and the half chicken plate, the lamb skewers were a bit disappointing, the flavourful was good but they were way too dry.
The chicken was okay, the breast a bit dry but that's expected.
The slaw was amazing!
Their lemonade is also pretty good!
I've been here numerous times over its years and Ojai Rotie is superb - one of my favorite places in Ojai for dining with and recommending to groups. It feels very European and with an understated casual yet sophisticated picnic feel - rustic charm tables and food served on worn enamel and blocks of wood.
dippity dips - fantastic.
bread with butter - NEED to get it, they whip the butter perfectly and the bread is so soft it melts in your mouth
half chicken - we got a meal this time with potatoes and the carrot salad. the potatoes used to be transcendently flavorful but i have to say the past couple times we've gone they've become a little blander and less exciting. carrot salad was well-flavored and refreshing.
lamb skewers - THE BEST! Soft, seasoned so well, the harissa and cream additions make it this explosion of flavor it's magic
overall, such a special place for dinner with people you love. Rotie best for getting a few things and sharing them all together, and everything on the menu works perfectly together - you get a chicken and use the dippity dips or the flatbread it comes with to make little sandwiches out of harissa and hummus and chicken - 11/10 experience. Also very sweet staff :)
Delicious meal in a beautiful setting. This is the kind of wholesome, delicious, and healthy food that I could eat any day. Get the chicken, the fattoush salad, bread, and some sides. It’s a refreshing and delicious meal enjoyed outdoors. It can get busy and a little chaotic.
This place is awesome I really love coming in here with my boyfriend and sharing the half chicken with sides, which is more than enough for two people at a reasonable price. I love the potatoes a lot. All the employees are wonderful and sweet. The bread is also amazing.
This is our favorite restaurant in Ojai by far. The food is always fresh and flavorful. We like to split the chicken plate and a few extra sides. Definitely recommend the hummus and cauliflower. They have a great local wine selection as welll.
Went sightseeing in downtown Ojai and couldnât resist trying Yume Japanese Burger Cafe! The Wagyu beef definitely lives up to the hype - it was delicious in both the burger and in the loaded fries. If you like traditional Thai Iced Tea, order the â
We saw Toad The Wet Sprocket in the Libbey Bowl. It's in the heart of Ojai, CA, in the middle of a sweet park. They sell wine, beer, and water. It's pretty and green. The concert venue was comfortable and everywhere you sit is a good seat. Dancing is
We had lunch and were so impressed we went back for dinner. Excellent food, drinks, beer selection, and dog friendly. Be sure to get the soup, a cookie, the Vietnamese cashew condensed milk and fries. Also, be sure to check out the specials menu at t
Great beginner /intermediate hike with a river crossing !
Mellow rolling hills. About 50% of the short loop (4.8mi) is exposed to the mid day sun. Bring water and watch out for Snakes.
Really sizable rooms, clean, and nice bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the front office staff were really nice and helpful when we needed them. The pool was well maintained and the hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking Channel Islands.
Came here for brunch to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Make reservations beforehand. The buffet was very impressive, and the serving staff was very polite, diligent, and customer-oriented. We walked around the resort/compound after. The grounds an
