Rustic, away from it all, no frills inn. Views are why you stay. The European breakfast was okay, hard boiled eggs, Smart& final croissants and muffins, packets of oatmeal, cold cereal, toast. Fresh fruit was tangerines apples, pears. ||I knew the room had only Folgers coffee so I stopped at the Vons on the road up the hill and picked up some Starbucks so I can make a better coffee myself.||The room itself was super clean. Lots of towels. Great service. I wish the deck and the deck furniture were cleaner and more comfortable. I actually drove down the hill to Vons to buy some Lysol wipes just to wipe down the deck table and chairs. ||In retrospect, I would have brought my own soap shampoo, conditioner, lotion. That what was provided wasn't to my standards..||The shared living room was nice but the air conditioning really didn't cool the room off. I wish they had more places to lounge in the air conditioning near where food dining area was.

Beautiful property with one of the best views in all of Ojai. I live in LA and go to Ojai often for a get away. This was my first time at this property and it didn't disappoint. It was clean, tranquil, and beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the staff was very accommodating! I was upgraded to a suite with an amazing secluded view of the Topatopa Mountains that made me not want to leave. Every room DOES NOT HAVE that view so ask before you book!. I will definitely be going back!

The property is on a hill with great views of the surrounding mountains. |The pictures of those views are accurate.|There is a lot to maintain on the property, and although it was neat and clean, it was on the tired, worn side. The waterfall on the property was pretty, but the pond was green and dirty. The online photos of the rooms and outdoor furniture look a lot nicer/fresher/newer than in what we observed in person.|Although they strive to provide a quiet, peaceful environment, be aware there is an elementary school below. The children playing outdoors could be heard in our room and in the outdoor areas.|Folgers coffee is provided to brew in the rooms, which we passed on.|Breakfast is at 7:30, where good coffee is available. We enjoyed the fresh hard boiled brown eggs, yogurt and granola. The other options were not that appealing to us, and some things did not appear fresh each day. The two bananas were brown, and the apples and oranges looked old.|We were surprised it had such a high rating from visitors. |The property rating of 2.5 stars is accurate.

My wife Bianca and I recently got married at the Ojai Retreat and Inn. It was a dream and a truly wonderful experience. The Ojai Retreat was a key element of our wedding. We chose to buy out the whole place for the weekend, which was fantastic because family got to stay right on site at the venue. The venue is very DIY, so prepare to do some work, but trust me it’s worth it. We did the ceremony at the Pink Moment Terrace which was gorgeous, the cocktail hour in the Waterfall Garden, which was serene and lovely. We held the dinner on the Mountain View Patio which provided a stunning backdrop for dinner. The staff was very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful. They gave us freedom to do what we wanted and were there if we needed them. The Retreat has such a lovely and peaceful energy, which really helped make the day as special as it was. All of our best to the staff, we’ll be back soon as guests. 10/10 would recommend for weddings!

The Ojai Retreat and Inn is one of the most peaceful and restorative places I’ve stayed. This lovely space offers a beautifully nature-filled “nest” to refresh your perspective on life as you retreat in the quiet of its amazing surroundings. I will definitely return when in need of a soulful getaway!

Unfortunately my partner and I had a less than favorable experience with Ojai Retreat and Inn. I made a reservation for a few nights and unfortunately my partner became ill with covid and we had to cancel our reservation. We were well within the cancellation window and have had to jump through hoops to get them and their third party associates with Expedia to request the refund for the cost of the stay that we were rightfully due with no avail. We keep getting letter after letter with a range of excuses as to why we cannot be refunded for the stay we never ended up having with them due to factors outside of our control. Very unforgiving. No action at all to make it right, nothing. Would not recommend a stay with Ojai Retreat and Inn, if you are human like we are and have things comes up unexpectedly because there is no grounds of understanding or action to do the right thing whatsoever.

A genuine retreat. Lovely, quiet inn with extensive gardens a short drive from Ojai. The kind of place you rarely find any more. Excellent breakfast is also included. Ojai is also very low-key but with great restaurants and many places in the neighbourhood for hiking and enjoying nature.

I loved my stay at the Ojai Retreat and Inn! I arrived late at night and since no one was at the front desk, they left my check-in packet and keys in a cute envelope for me on their cork board—very organized! My room was lovely. Such a comfy bed, fridge, microwave, bathroom, table, rocking chair and two outdoor patios. The breakfast selection in their charming reading room was wonderful too—granola, eggs, bagels, pastries, Greek yogurt, fruits etc. the views were breathtaking! I was only here for the weekend to run in the Ventura Half Marathon but would love to return for a longer stay. There are no TV’s and children under 12 are not allowed, so it’s super quiet which exactly what I needed. They also have yoga, meditation, guided hikes, horseback riding, weddings, arts and cultural groups/performances etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I’ll be back soon!
