So far so good. Camping at 1800hrs. and there is not a sound. Beautiful and serene. Had my dinner and watched the sunset. Camp spot #14 is a nice large area. Cannot see the other camp spots. High clearance 4WD is reccomended. The roads have a great amount of washouts. I did not have to use 4WD, just needed the clearance. Was looking at other reviews and saw a picture of a bear from 3 months ago. Texas boy ears are on alert, lol. Would recommend for camping. The trails are well marked.
Went to my hometown for a winter time hike. The Island in the sky trail was awesome! It took forever because we couldn't stop looking for fossils. My wife and I used to go to wild keg parties with bonfires here back in the 90s. There were no trails back then just the dirt roads that are still there now.
Spent 2 days running through glorious mountain trails and valleys. Stayed in campsite 10. Gave us and dogs plenty of space to run. Hunting fossils and minerals in the 4 mile with a nice rolling current. Plan many future trips.
Awesome network of mountain biking/hiking trails. Nothing real technical but plenty of little rock features and amazing views as you climb higher.
Seems to have some good mountain biking trails and some great arid scenery. A good place to camp for the night (the road is dirt and a bit rutted so beware), but plenty of spaces to camp, very quiet and has good cell reception. No amenities otherwise not even trash cans. Also seem to be a few skunks in the area so keep that in mind.
Excellent undeveloped dispersed camping! Campsite was clean and the views were outstanding. Make sure to bring a vehicle capable of handling rough roads, and a spotter to get to the best campsites.
Like nearly every place in Colorado, this place is worth visiting. As campers who did not bring our mountain bikes, there's not a ton of exploring to do, but if you did bring your bike, there's tons of trails. Tough ride in, 4WD definitely needed with some clearance at least at this time of year. One downside that's mentioned elsewhere too is the gun range nearby, you'll hear gunshots all day long.
Gorgeous views of the Sangre de Cristos from the trail. And some beautiful, rocky views. Moderate loop from the lower lot is techy but not too hard

Great 1.5 mile hike on the Royal Gorge Overlook Loop with just as good of views of the Royal Gorge as the park without the cost. The most scenic hike I've been on.
I will start by saying I am very picky about my food and I leave reviews often. Rarely do I leave a 5***** review.
The food here is fresh, tasty and authentic.
The price is decent, around $20-$30 per person, but definitely worth it.
The playground is located in Centennial park next to Royal gorge and has a variety of features for kids of all ages, including a walkway, pond, splash pad, sliding structures, and benches and picnic areas.

Beautiful year round. Nice trail, safe for walking, running, bike riding. Plenty of scenery to enjoy and maybe photograph. Informative plaques are great! They even provide specific sanitary bags to dispose of what your dog may have left behind. Easy

This is a comfortable park for our church potlucks because it has the large oversized Pavilion to get out of the sun or out of the rain. There is room to run around as well as a playground and other amenities. It has lots of parking and lots of grass
