The price is right not expensive. They offered everything you need. The room is clean and no bad odor, room service was on point. No noise even though it's in the middle of the busy location where everything you need is just 5 mins walk. The beach is just 7 mins walks. I love the location save money from not renting car to move around shopping malls are near by if you choose not to walk there is bus that runs every 25 min along the road just 1 min walk to bus stop. I highly recommend you to stay here.

It's an older hotel, in a great location as far as downtown Waikiki goes (very central; most things are walkable). It being old, don't come in with crazy high expectations. The rooms are not recently renovated, the shower might take a bit to warm up, you might see a bug (I never did, but you're in Hawaii...there are bugs), etc. My take: those are all things I'm willing to put up with for a discounted price, kind staff, and a good location (relative).

I have never stayed in a dirtier hotel. See attached pictures. The bathroom is covered with mold. Gum stuck to dresser. Toenails and hair all over bathroom floor. No shower curtain. Wiped off counters with Lysol wipes they were black after cleaning. The hotel is extremely outdated.

Value for money and very handy location. Bed and pillows are so comfortable. Short walk to the beach. Bus lines on same road and Trolleys main stop 2 blocks very short walk. Snacks and drinks pass everyday pick up is between 7am - 10am. Tours booking counter available and very helpful. Tours pick up 2 minutes walk. Free iced tea and water on tap.

The low price seems like it should come with a catch. We came in not expecting perfection. We found wonderful staff in a fantastic location in downtown Honolulu. Yes, the building is aging and the furniture shows some wear, but this was excellent value for us on a honeymoon trip! Can’t say enough about the good staff, everyone was kind and helpful.

People are still going to book regardless of my review due to the price, so for whatever it’s worth… I would reconsider. Bugs everywhere! If you want plan to visit Hawaii on a budget, this is your best bet, just make sure you sleep with one eye open. Not a shot at the staff nor location, but the hotel itself is just outdated and completely infested with pests. Instead of commenting on everyone’s review they should focus on updated the entire place. Do not be fooled by pictures on website. Anyway. Just like me, I booked due to price and location. Would never do it again.

my husband and I just recently stayed here aug 1 . The staff was friendly and pleasant. However, the room was nothing like the picture the rooms are outdated. The water to take a shower was cold we told staff no one came and did anything or even offer to compensate us. The towel rack broke cause it was place on properly and when we went to let staff know they took care of it by only taking it off. however, we did love the option to cook which we did and we loved the location walking distance to everything. the only thing I would say about this hotel is it needs a huge makeover other then that we paid for what we could afford. we know better next trip.

A robbery at Ohia Waikiki hotel and suites. We were at this hotel from August 12th 2024 to August 23 rd. This hotel is next to the restaurants, bars stores and about 450 m of Waikiki beach. So, It’s very convenient. However, on 8/14/24 when my husband wanted to take his pills in the evening he couldn’t find them. They are vital for him. They were in a plastic bag of a pharmacy, which was on our bedside table, but he couldn’t find it. It was obvious that this bag had been stolen because the only person who could enter our room was the cleaning man and he was not supposed to touch anything in the guest rooms. So, we called 911 and the police came to investigate and made a report. Just after a few minutes, the police left, a person from the lobby, called me and ask me if the police had left and I said yes. And a few minutes after that, a guy named Ethan came to our room and bring us the bag with the boxes of pills. We were relieved but It was very strange and a bit suspicious as they told us that they found the medicine on top of a trash can in the hotel. What is more, the manager didn’t even accept to meet us to handle the situation or to offer us any compensation for these long hours of inconvenience and strong stress, showing a complete lack of responsibility for their own staff’s crime.
