Decided to pull off and spend the night there after extreme traffic delays driving from DC to Dayton OH. We explored the next day and found it to be one of the nicest resorts we have ever seen. Gorgeous grounds. Rich history. Want to plan a family reunion there. Activities for all ages. Great variety of accommodation options.
The museum is unique and gone through some background on the Oglebay family who donated the property to the State. It is a nice to do if you are visiting Wheeling, WV or even for locals. The view is good overlooking the park. The site is well maintained with good placement of various floral matching the area. Good to spend sometime there if you are in the area.
First time seeing this beautiful Home and Mansion it is. What a piece of history about the family and the contributions to the area and how he made his money. Was really impressed with upkeep of it and all the flowers in the gardens around. It’s a must see if in the area.
Worth the visit. Make sure you pay extra so you can visit the glass museum as well.
I hadn't visited Oglebay's Mansion Museum for many years. It's still as wonderful as I remember, maybe even more.
What an amazing place to visit. First time there and was immediately impressed with the colors and then the decor. W hope you can get the roof fixed to stop the water leaking.
I had a research visit today at the Oglebay Mansion Museum. The Front receptionist Cindy was very helpful. The Museum house a incredible collection of art, objects and documents. It's very well maintained. The grounds are lovely.
