Ogawa’s never disappoints. We ordered the calamari, it was delicious. Then followed up with some sushi rolls (9-1-1, D-Money and Tabitha rolls) and shared a beautifully prepared ribeye steak. I highly recommend Ogawa’s for a great dinner experience. Staff are excellent as well😊

Sub par sushi quality, but charges high end sushi prices. I ordered a tuna roll, built my own sushi roll (because their house sushi menu/selection was a disaster), and a small mafa chicken bowl. To start, the tuna roll was not traditional. It was rolled with the rice on the outside and had sesame seeds. Anyone who has an ounce of sushi experience knows that this should have been a simple roll with the nori on the outside with rice and tuna inside. The roll was cut into 10 pieces, very thin. Disappointed, 3.5/10. Then, I made/ordered my own roll with shrimp, cream cheese, cucumber inside, with salmon on top sauces with eel sauce and spicy mayo. It was nice to see that they offer to create your own, but the execution ruined it. Hardly any cream cheese inside, loosely wrapped by what seemed that could have been done a better job by a toddler, then topped with a generous portion of thick sliced salmon. Ok, I get it, probably never made this request before so there was a learning curve. But then, it was cut into 6 ginormous pieces, all different sizes. It was sloppy. It should have been formed and cut into symmetrical, bite sized pieces (at least the standard 8 cut) 4.3/10. As for the mafa chicken bowl, it was great. Good portion, tasty, and probably the only menu item that this restaurant does well. 8.3/10. The mafa chicken bowl wasn’t finished, so I asked for a box. No problem, but conveniently snuck a .75 cent surcharge on my bill saying “TO-GO”, laughable but ok. But then the final straw, my bill had some fine print stating that an additional 3.5% surcharge was automatically applied to the entire order for use of a credit/debit card. But don’t worry, they offer to take that off if you pay in cash or use a pre-purchased gift card. Nowhere did I see this posted anywhere, or was advised before I ordered. Now 3.5% is marginal, I know, but it’s the principal to inform the customer in advance that counts and I feel like it’s an unethical thing to do. I wont be spending any of my hard earned money here, and will strongly advocate to others to avoid this restaurant like the plague. Advice: Hire/train some legitimate sushi chefs, and humble yourselves on the product you put out by compensating on the price you charge. Don’t try and be something you’re not, which is definitely not in the category of “a good place to get sushi”.

We love Ogawa’s! I have a severe shellfish allergy, so I’ve always steered clear of sushi places, but that was before I found Ogawa’s! They are always really great at making sure there is no cross contamination and their food is delicious! We love the tempura broccoli and mafa chicken starters, and I usually stick with the Kari & Tyler Rolls on soy paper. My family loves the bento boxes and all the other rolls. The food is amazing, the staff a wonderful, and the atmosphere is fabulous (love the new location and the patio seating)!

A really good lunch. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. We got the Miso soup, gluten free beef teriyaki bowl and regular chicken bowl. Clean bathrooms. Just passing through town, but would definitely stop again!

We love this place! My husband loves the sushi and I love all of the other things on the menu! I got the rice bowl this time. Portion so large, I have dinner tomorrow night! Everything yummy! We will be back again and again!!

My son loved it, but me... The last few times I've been here, it just seems like they're charging way too much for subpar sushi and other items on their menu. To be fair, the service was decent. They were busy, so I always do my best to give a server the benefit of the doubt if I go to a restaurant and they're slammed. She was great. The atmosphere is nice. It seems high end, and the ambiance is pleasant, but then there's the food... That's altogether their main problem, in my opinion. So, in the last couple of years I've been here several times. With my latest visit, the overall flavor of my teriyaki chicken bowl was decent, but a couple of things were really off. The chicken was reality dry, my meal was luke-cold, and it kind of ruined the experience for me. The noodles were also incredibly dry and I had to drink ridiculous amounts of my beverage to choke it down. I get that a lot of people in a small town might not have had anything better, but if you travel 30-40 minutes into Nampa, Meridian, or even to Boise, there are places that charge almost as much, and their food is infinitely better tasting, seems like it's higher quality ingredients, and it's actually hot when it comes out. My wife and mother in law love this place, but I have yet to really have a "genuine" Japanese-style meal here that even comes close to the quality that they're charging.

The hostess came up to the front where it says wait to be seated. She said you can go back and sit at the bar. We walked to the back to the bar. There was one table empty and not bussed, we sat down. The couple behind us left just after we sat down. The hostess cleared their table. Someone pointed out to her to clear our table. She only half wiped it off, it was sticky. I ordered the sushi platter for two. It was warm as if it had been made earlier and was waiting to be ordered. The Bento box was not that good either. That is the third time I’ve eaten at the restaurant, it is also my last.
