My boyfriend and I always enjoy our visits to Ogawa. The food is freshly prepared and served with care. There are Korean dishes on the menu besides a nice selection of Japanese entries. My favorite is the Bento box with Sashimi. Parking is easy with spaces in the front or parking in the lot behind the building. The chicken bulgogi is very good.
If I could I would give them more stars. Definitely best Japanese restaurant in WV. Everything was beyond delicious, presentation was great, and the service was just top, every waitress and waiter was very kind and attentive. Has definitely become a must stop every time we go through Morgantown
Food was disappointing, sushi wasn't fresh and didn't taste flavorful. We had high hopes because it has good reviews but we ordered the owaga sushi roll special and spicy california as well as 2 snoked salmon sushis and seemed they took FOREVER, plus when they finally came out the rolls had more rice than filling and the food appearance wasn't appealing. We both got upset stomach after eating there. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the staff was really nice and the place resembled a truly genuine Japanese restaurant.
Very upset because I ordered a $15 roll that was supposed to have eel and crab inside, and they stuffed it with only avocado. Basically paid double the price for a spicy tuna roll. If they were out of those things they could have let me know or given a discount. I even added a tip for a carry out order because I used to love this place... not going back.
Easily the best sushi in Morgantown. Consistent nigiri and sashimi. Inventive - and large - maki. Very good cooked Korean food as well. The bulgogi box is hard to beat for a lunch special, and for non-sushi eaters there are dozens of other cooked options as well. Takeout orders are always packed in a visually pleasing manner, and they make sure you have plenty of utensils and sauces separately. For a landlocked area, this sushi can’t be beat.
Pretty good little joint. Fyi, the Google directions were a bit off and it took me behind the restaurant. We ordered salmon sushi and eel sushi, salmon poke bowl, and chicken and tofu dolsot bi bim bop.
Great Japanese food, perfect for sit down or takeout if you go to WVU. Good selection of food like noodles, chicken, sushi, and even Korean.
Had the appetizer Broccoli Yaki it was frozen broccoli not grilled swimming in Teriyaki sauce in a cardboard container. $7 89? It was awful. Dinner Teriyaki chicken which was just as bad. Frozen broccoli looked like the chicken was boiled? Maybe their Sushi rolls are their thing. I won't be back thou.
