Off Track Ice Cream - Ice cream shop in Charleston - 6 Beaufain St, USA

If I could put 10 stars I would! My son and I loved our ice cream and milkshake. The ice cream had a lot in it, had a great flavor and seemed fresh. The topping also were very generous and fresh. I also appreciated the little note and heart on our bag. It was such a simple gesture, but it had a personal touch and I really liked that a lot. That little bit of extra effort goes a long way.

I ordered the mint chip ice cream and didn’t think it had a lot of flavor and the chips of chocolate were few and far between. My waffle cone was yummy but was breaking apart (in the middle) the whole time I was licking my ice cream. My husband had his in a bowl, but also was not enamored by the ice cream. The servers were polite and the shop was cute and clean.

One of the first things we do when we visit a city is research Restaurants, Coffee, and Ice Cream. I have tried Ice Cream all over the country at many of the most famous Ice Cream shops, and I’ve had some incredible Ice Cream! I can say unequivocally that Off Track is the best ice cream I’ve had in my life in any city I’ve ever visited! We visited on the first day of our trip and ended up there multiple days in a row, and have no regrets about it! Every single flavor we tried was so great on the palate, the bases were inventive with their tasting notes, and the ingredients were top notch. The quality of the cream was insane, you could feel the fat content of the dairy on the spoon as you ate it, it lingers on your taste buds. If I ever visit Charleston again I will be here every single day of my trip. The service was incredible as well, they were kindly giving samples of every flavor and describing each one in detail. The building itself was cool as well, very historical feeling but nice and clean. If you’re looking for a good ice cream shop in town search no further, go here as soon as you can in case you want to go every day like we did!

We always want to try ice cream shop in every city we visited. We tried hot cocoa, prezel toffee, strawberry and apple pie. The ice cream here was not better than ice cream from farms where we have eaten, but it was still tasty (I prefer the flavor of milk after tasting from the ice cream from the farms). The ice cream did not leave the feeling of tons of sugar in your mouth. Hot cocoa was our favorite. The apple pie chunks were quite chewy, which was my least favorite.

Ingredients are locally sourced, and the ice creams were all delicious! My favourite was definitely the cookies and cream - they mix the Oreo bits twice, once in the ice cream base itself, and also got chunks through it. The vanilla was amazing as well. You can see the bits / dots of vanilla through it. The chocolate wasn’t too sweet. Espresso was good. They do all their basic flavors extremely well. Tried a few of their funkier ones too.

Really cute ice cream shop. They even offer a flight of ice cream - 4 flavors. They offer regular ice cream and vegan ice cream. We got regular- very creamy. We also offered a root beer float

Off Track Ice Cream is one of the best places in Charleston! It is right off of King Street, so make sure you don't miss it. The ice cream is fresh and made with premium ingredients, and the flavor choices are spot on. If you are in Downtown Charleston, check it out!!

So many ice cream places to choose from here. This one was close to the hotel and had a good rating. It was very good with several flavors to choose from. I got the hot fudge sundae, which was good, and I would get it again. However, I would recommend getting the four flavor flight that I saw available after I got the sundae. I would have liked trying four flavors.
