O'Charley's - American restaurant in Bowling Green - 2717 Scottsville Rd, USA

Haven’t been to O’Charley’s in some time last time we went it wasn’t great. I got a gift card from work so we figured why not try again. The food was okay but it’s changed a lot. My husband use to love getting the loaded potato soup but hasn’t gotten since it’s recipe changed . He ordered the burger with chicken tenders and fries

Have been here a few times in the last few months to try and give it a few tries. The "rolls" they serve now are small, dry and tough to get down. Our appetizer today was the chips & queso...came out with a warm plate and cold chips/queso. Went with the pecan crusted chicken strip meal...came with the smallest salad I've ever seen and had to send my fries back because, again, plate was hot but food on it was cold. The chicken strips were deep fried well past done and came to me almost black on the plate. Definitely giving up on O Charley's from now on. Their food is awful now and you barely get any of it.

Waitress warned us when we arrived they were backed up in the kitchen and it might be a long wait. I thought she did an excellent job, the food came out in a timely manner and it tasted great. We had the blackened salmon dinner and the battered shrimp dinner. My only complaints would be the potatoes in our loaded potato soup - a little under cooked and a lot lacking (in my bowl I only had 3 small pieces) and I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the restroom. Overall we had a good time, good food and a great waitress. Thank you for a nice dinner after a long day of traveling.

We always have great service and excellent food here. Usually not a long wait to be seated. We tried the new Meatball Crostini appetizer and it was very good. Would definitely order again. I had the baby back ribs and buttermilk fried shrimp. The ribs are always fall off the bone perfect. There was a 30 minute wait for baked potatoes so I ordered loaded smashed potatoes instead and was very pleased.

Editing my review as we have had not one, not two, but several bad experiences with take out food this year at the Bowling Green location. I guess a practically empty parking lot speaks for itself. (good food & service normally has a full parking lot). Sauces spilled out all over the food. Can't eat the fries because they are dried out, look like they've been recooked a few times. Chicken tenders burnt and dry. Coke all over the outside of the cups with lids half off. Yesterday I got a promised free order for the last one they messed up. Sadly it was the worst one yet. I emailed the corporate office. They asked for location. I answered them. Today...crickets. Nothing. Pretty sure they could care less. My guess is more locations will be closing soon. Its sad because we've always loved O'charleys and have frequented several of them over the years. I don't know how the wait staff can live on the tips they make because they are never busy anymore. Prayers they can improve this location. Usually pretty good food. Sometimes chicken tenders are over cooked. Restrooms could use some attention (not cleaned very well) Social distancing is important and they were doing a good job of that. The salads are always good.

Food was good and the service was great. If you don't like salt please let them know in advance. They are heavy salters. Would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the parents who bring their small kids and don't pay them any attention. There was about five kids that screamed at the top of their lungs for the whole hour we was there. Our server even have problems hearing us when taking our order.

Since when has O'Charley's tenders looked like this??! It was so disappointing. I understand everyone has a bad day every now and then. I will give them one more try and if it's the same then I'm done with O'Charley's.

We had a coupon for buy 1, get 1 free with drink. Drinks are $4.29 so even with 1 free meal, it was still $23.39. We usually drink water so we didn't have any idea drinks were so high now. The food and service were good but O'Charley's isn't one we frequent very often.
