Ocean's Sound Hotel - Hotel in Hollywood - 322 Nevada St, USA

So I booked a spot here last minute and while on a budget. It was the cheapest option I could find on such short notice and after seeing the reviews, I was extremely concerned. I went in expecting the absolute worst but me and my family actually fell in love with this place and we will definitely be back! The room that we got was less than a block away from the beach, the room was so cute too! It was way cleaner than what most the comments mention. At check in, this very nice lady named Naomi (I hope I remembered that correctly) helped us out. She was very sweet and informative about everything. And obviously for the price, don’t go expecting a luxury resort but it will definitely exceed your expectations!

Don't stay here unless you really dislike yourself and your family. First thing upon entering the office (which was two blocks away from the hotel) a very unhappy manager(?) named Pat told us there was a $20 a night extra charge the travel booking company neglected to mention. We had a choice to either pay the $40 (two nights) or forfeit our entire prepaid hotel stay and go elsewhere. ||We paid. Then we found that our prepaid room at Ocean Sounds Hotel was not available and we'd have to stay a few blocks away at a place called The Palms. No pool. No water in the room - you could buy small bottles at the office for $3.57 each. ||Should I be proud to say this is maybe the worst place I've ever stayed? The feeling of the place was so bad I feared leaving any valuables in the room. ||Again, do not stay here unless you have no respect for yourself or your family.

The only good part of staying in Ocean's Sound Hotel was price and the location. The place was not clean, dirty floor, cockroaches and small flies on the walls in the shower. Also the smell of the room was unpleasent. There were no kitchenware but next day when asked - received. The aircon in our room was not working, we reported it 3 times and it wasn't fixed at all. Thanks God there was aircon (very noisy but at least workin one:) in the kitchen so it was bearable. We booked it via Agora and was charged additional hotel fee which was not agreed before (it is Agora issue but maybe worth to mention in here). Also was charged for parking over 50$ for 3 days (just to inform, not complaining). Next time I will book different hotel but in the nearest location:)

It’s really too bad that this hotel was so dismal. Great location, but room was run down and not very clean. Bad odors, sandy floors, grubby bathroom, and cheap towels. The checkin staff is just awful and don’t care about the guests. There are really NO amenities so the resort fee is completely unnecessary. The owners of this place should step it up before the properties are run into the ground. A little bit of extra effort would go a long way. Big Boos for this hotel group!

Great little place for the $. Very close to beach, hear music from riptide while sitting outside your door. Majority of the staff was very nice however we paid 63$ extra for late check out until 4pm and at 345 the guy comes pointing to his watch. Seeing that we were just cleaning up and grabbing our little stuff to make sure we had everything. He stood outside our door til we went out and it still wasnt 4 oclock! Very disappointed.

Positive: Close to the beach. Negative: The hotel is run down and needs work. Check in is at a different location, which is confusing and should be mentioned in the itinerary. They need to take care of the fan in the bathroom, that doesn't work, mold starting on ceiling. Negative: ""

Positive: The parking and location close to the ocean. The bed was confortable. Negative: I got to the hotel to realize it did not have an office. The center where they process the checkin was 3 blocks away. Once I get the keys I get into the room and it was not anything as expected. The kitchen was terrible it had nothing. Room smelled bad. Negative: ""

Dump. Nasty dirty all pics are a lie worst hotel shouldn't even charge you 10.for the rooms. Breakfast is 4 blocks away and makes you feel like your in a homeless food bank line for banana and piece of bread
