Oceana Boutique Hotel - Hotel in San Clemente - 135 Avenida Algodon, USA

You truly get what you pay for. The hotel is inexpensive and has a good location, had good wifi and the TV's were decent, but that's all I can say that's positive. It's linens and towels were grossly stained from previous guests and it was very rundown and dirty in general. The worst part was, there were several unhoused people who congregated in the courtyard outside our room at all hours of the night. They were loudly discussing how they were "tripping on shrooms" and obviously very altered. The staff didn't seem to care. Some people obviously lived in this hotel full-time. Others came on their bikes. The locks on the doors were meant for interior doors, not secure. The chain on the door was broken and dangling. I didn't feel completely safe here and was a little nervous walking around with so many homeless people and drugs.

The Gentleman that works at the front desk is very kind and helpful. I had a good stay in don’t know why so many negative reviews. The Gentleman also personally checked the room to make sure it was ready for me 🙂 It was nice and quiet spot. I really liked that the room had a kitchenette

Positive: "" Negative: Rooms were absolutely disgusting. Checked in, went up to my room and housekeeping did not clean from the previous people staying. We got a different room and everything seemed fine until we noticed either some sort of animal poop/throw up on the blanket.

This place is an absolute dump. Sheets, towels, and curtains with stains and holes. The showers look like they have never been cleaned. Don’t bother complaining, the owners are rude, dismissive, and money grubbing. As far as we could tell, they are the slum lords for the local drug addicts. The only thing good about this place is the service. The manager Robin went to our room and cleaned it personally. They need more of that.

Positive: Location, but strange clientele and no service to room- has to pick up everything at desk and dump trash Negative: unusual behaviors among residents- suspect drug use, sleeping outside room, one kid was spray painting a bike in back where we stayed, no cleaning of room and had to go to front desk for everything. Our air conditioning wasn?t working

Our sink was CLOGGED and we had no choice but to fix it ourselves. The whole room smelled like a nasty sewer. We found two lighters, a ring, and a plastic fork snapped in half down the sink. Nasty. Also, there has been a crack in the ceiling, and it drips so much when the person upstairs showers, we've had to put a bucket underneath it. The Crack keeps getting bigger, and now is a perfect square. I'm genuinely afraid the roof will fall in on someone.

Positive: Absolutely NOTHING!! Negative: The worst experience EVER!! The local sheriff came to the door and said a known local drug dealer typically stays in the room and he suggested we leave especially after 2 strangers came to the room obviously looking for said drug dealer!! Traumatized!!

Very unkept! NO manager or security on this property. Drug deals happening outside our windows. Tweaker staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Some attempt to try to make it look decent, but like putting lipstick on a pig. Do not stay here! Ever! We could not even lock our door!
