Ocean View Restaurant - Restaurant in Kure Beach - 101 K Avenue, USA

Had lunch here today (New Years Day 1 January 2024) after a nice walk along the beach at Fort Fisher. We wanted to walk on the pier, but it's closed for renovations. We shared the fried chicken (with fries, as the menu stated it's enough for two people. It was half a chicken! Plenty of leftovers. The chicken was so juicy and tender; and the batter nice and crispy. Really good!!! Fries were nice an crispy too. I had a bloody Mary and DH had a coffee. Very friendly service and the owner came over and chatted with us for a few minutes. I recommend this place if you're hungry for breakfast or lunch.

If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular here. Fresh ingredients and tasty food. The fries were especially good. My friend loved her B.L.E.A.T sandwich which is their special twist to a BLT. We also got a mini key lime pie to go. Staff is all super friendly and the menu has a great variety of breakfast and lunch offerings. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

No view of the ocean from this restaurant. Not the owners fault, but part of why we came here is because we thought it was waterfront dining based on review pictures. We had breakfast. I think it's very pricey. Our bill was $58 for four people and everyone but me had water to drink (I had coffee). The Kure Benedict with a side of grits was pretty good. My son had chicken and waffles, but he said it wasn't that great. When the place is full, it is super noisy and hard to hear conversation at your own table. Parking all around is $5 per hour. You have to go to a website or download an app to pay for parking. There are no coin operated meters (because who carries around $5 - $10 in quarters in their car?) 😉

I had the pleasure of dining at the Ocean View Restaurant and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The breakfast was fantastic . The staff were incredibly friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The view, as the name suggests, was breathtaking. In summary, this is simply a great restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience by the ocean.

This quaint sweet place was wonderful! The staff was welcoming. The family pictures on the walls. Was nice and cool on a hot June day. The waitress told me to get the pork belly burger, and oh my gosh the red onion jelly was incredible! Others got fried shrimp, chicken, and avocado toast. Phenomenal service and amazing food!

I knew this would be a hit when I read the menu on line, but the experience was beyond compare. The new decor is fresh, bright and welcoming- a real designer appeal. The food was beyond compare. The chef( Josh) really knows how to cook an egg, stone ground grits, fresh fruit, the fluffiest biscuit ever, and great coffee. The servers obviously love their jobs and it shows. This isn’t just a one off , it is a keeper!! Can’t wait to return.

Rockett was amazing. Super friendly and fast. Food came out quickly despite the restaurant being packed. Everything was right, hot and so, so good.

We went for Brunch and Dinner, and we’ll be back again! Delicious food, friendly and great service! Highly recommend!
