To be honest, if you're looking for a quick bite and don't care about the quality of the food, service, or atmosphere then this is where you would go. I have tried a lot of food places and this unfortunately will be one of the worst reviews I have given. Put some seating outside, lighten it up a bit, and I'll move my review to 2 stars. Do better and I'll even give a five star. I have been doing reviews for over a decade this is the one of the lowest reviews I have ever given. Most places I review earn. 4-5 star review. The price - Way over priced for street tacos even for Hawaiian standards. 3 plain tacos for $9.00. $0.50 per topping per taco. $0.25 per plate for credit card transaction. Food quality - Just bad. The Greece was dripping, the shells were clearly left out for a few days to harden. I am really amazed I even paid. The pork wasn't edible, it was rock hard and crunchy. The Steak and chicken were the same. Service - No Aloha, hellos, mahalo, thank you, nadda. It was if we were inconveniencing them to order anything. Location - This place should be called "hole in the wall tacos.". You literally walk up to the building and you look into this square window where it's nearly pitch black. There's no seating anywhere outside. My advice to Ocean Street Tacos - Look at your competition and see what they are doing. It's really quite hard to mess up cooking a taco COMPLETELY in every aspect. Show some gratitude for those who come to support your business. Learn how to prepare your food. Do you guys even have a food handler's permit? It was very dirty, and the food had clearly been sitting out for hours. Watch YouTube perhaps on how to "cook tacos" In short, there are far better taco places on the island for the same price or even a bit more. These establishments are the exact opposite of Ocean Street Tacos, therefore the increase in price is worth it.
Pork tacos were pretty good. I heard the steak and chicken werent that special. Service was very brief, not personal or very friendly. Ordered at the window behind the restaurant. Cheap tacos good value. Inside restaurant has larger menu
Great tacos, well seasoned and cooked meats. Def worth a visit
The driest and worst chicken taco I have eaten. For a taco place it's just absurd that the tacos are so bad. . The chips that came with the tacos were so dry that it seemed it literally came right out of the volcano. Chimichangas were the saving grace and were decent.
Lady at the window was very nice but the 3/$9 tacos were GREASY, OIL SPILLING off each taco, at least 1/2 tsp each taco, gross. We only ate the main filling and not the street taco mini tortillas they were on top of as each tortilla (2 for ea taco) were unbelievably greasy. No, Mexico tacos are FRESH, clean tasting, and exceptionally delicious. Unfortunately these tacos were a no. 5 star reviews must be from the disembarked cruise ship tourists who are acclimated to cruise ship food :/
Quick, cheap and yummy! Nice seating area right outside, free parking too. We walked right up and in less than 5 min had 6 hot tacos. It’s cash only though so make sure to bring some. Choice of steak, pork or chicken with onions, cilantro, jalapeños, black beans (upon request) and what tasted like a chipotle mayo. I’m happy with the amount of meat they put on the tacos it was more than the veggies. They have canned coke products to pick from and a selection of hot sauces.
Best street tacos I have had in a long time. Easy to access. Fast and lots of spots to sit.
Wow!! Coming from California, it is very hard to find good authentic tocos in Kona! Well this is about the closest you’re going to get! In Cali these tocos get an 8 out of 10! In Kona they get a 15 out of ten! I will be back! BTW, the chicken ones where the best in my opinion! The flavor was awesome! All where good! They have steak, pork, and chicken! Awesome! 🤙🤙
Kona free divers is awesome! We came in for full snorkel setups and Jackie was beyond helpful. We were able to try on loads of fins, masks and was given great guidance on what was going to work best for our next adventure. Highly recommend making thi
I was on the island for a week and trained here 3 times. Iâm really glad I chose Foundation to train at for my stay. Horlando is very high level and was very welcoming. He is an enthusiastic instructor and great teacher, and has some good guys to
Had a couple of great dives with Kevin and Captain John! Due to weather, we had a couple false starts, but the crew was great and the office staff worked quickly to get me rebooked. Small dive groups, super comfy boat, amazing snacks! Would happily a
Great educational tour to learn more about vanilla and the intense care it requires. We also enjoyed the vanilla ice cream and the products in the shop. Highly recommend!
The beach is worth the drive. Beautiful scenery. There is quite a hike to get to the green sand beach itself though. Not steep or difficult, just long. About 3 miles one way. There is a group that is offering to drive you down to the beach and back f
The coffee and croissant here are absolutely delightful. The decor adds to the overall charm, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for enjoying a meal with loved ones.
Fantastic neighborhood park with parking, clean bathrooms, and lots of grass. We walked up to the park from AliâI Drive and the walk wasn't too bad. We came on a slightly overcast morning and I would imagine the play structure will get hot on sun
Incredible all vegan menu, food is extremely flavorful and varied. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and very different from each other. Price is fair, setting and atmosphere is a bit cramped but bright and inviting. Wait time was reasonable
