Ocean Reef Hotel - Featured Reviews (107)
This is the absolute the most disgusting hotel Ive ever "looked" at !!!! I say "looked at" because after opening the door to the ro om and looking at it I went to tell the person at the desk I wanted my money back. She said the manager was not there and we would have to wait til Monday to TRY to get our money back. After reading these reviews I doubt that will happen. Children running and screaming up and down the outside hallway, People cooking in their rooms and the smell was awful. They propped open their doors while cooking. Looked like they lived there when walking by the rooms... so much things in their rooms i.e. hot plates and cooking items. Our door did not close properly...you could see the sky around the frame of the door. Stains of who knows what on the bed covers and sheets. Gritty dirty floor that wasnt even installed properly. Wires hanging and wrapping around the baseboards. The phone was not even hooked to anything when I went to call front desk there was no dial tone at all and when I looked at the phone wire that goes into the wall it was just dangling...not even hooked to anything !!! And here is the best part cockroaches !!!! Crawling across the bed !!! And some kind of other bug which I believe was a bed bug. This place needs to be shut down. I'm considering calling the health department still. DO NOT STAY THERE YOU WILL BE HORRIFIED 1!!
Here for 18 days and we are now in our forth room which was an upgrade and passable. The first room was on the second floor and there were guests smoking Marijuana in the stairs constantly and no wifi reception. Second room, also on the second floor but at the other end of the building, was beneath a terrace and the noise woke us up at all hours of the night. The third room was on the third floor just above the last room. Again the noise was an issue. Now in our upgraded room where there are electrical issues and the door vibrating in the wind. Because the door remains loose, all street noise filters in and it's not pleasant. People like to race on this busy street with their super powered vehicles with noisy mufflers. Since being here, most nights, young kids are running around everywhere unsupervised and screaming sometimes until midnight.
To recap, all kinds of noise issues, no hot water in bathroom tap, refrigerator leaking water, air conditioning leaking water, electrical outlets not working, safe not working, kids throwing drink and food in the pool. Was definitely not a pleasant stay and most definitely won't be back.
WORST HOTEL OF MY LIFE!
These people are crooks!
I am asthmatic and dealthy allergic to mold. I walked in to not the first, but second room that they tried to give us, only to be hit with the reek of cigarette smoke in a ‘nonsmoking’ room. There was mold in the shower and I had to go book a different hotel for my health. Black mold like that would land me in the hospital! These people have REFUSED to return my money when we were there for 10 minutes and I had to leave for my health.
I called multiple times the next day, trying to get ahold of the manager, only to get everyone else there who promised she would call me. Have I received a call back? NO!
Have I received my money back? NO!
In addition to the reek of smoke in a nonsmoking room, we encountered a pile of black mold, nasty dirty sheets, someone else’s hair in the shower, plus the AC didn’t work properly.
STAY AWAY!
So I ended up in Ft L a night longer than I expected, Trying to find a room last minute on a weekend was pricy. I found this placa and booked it just to know I had a place to stay-- the rate was great! After, I read some reviews and had a moment of panic. I knew it wasnt the Four Seasons, but the reviews made me so nervous. I had to check out of my other hotel at 11am, and check in here wasnt until three, but they were able to get me a room a little early. The front desk people were great. I know they cant always do that, bit it was much appreciated. The room is amazing. Clean and Id say pretty up to date. The beds are comfy and there was zero sight of any bugs... and trust me, I looked! Close to a grocery store, Dunkin and Mc Ds (plus many more walkable spots, these are just where I went). I am so happy I booked here and I would 100% stay here again. Oh, there are three floors I think (I was on 2) and there was an elevator if you need one. Ice machime worked great and I saw some people enjoying the pool.
I stayed here in February 2024 and it was the worst night sleep I had. ||The positive is, the room is comfortable and old looking but that is what you are paying for. However, the noise of the hotel goes on until 1am. I had to go down to reception three times to ask for the concierge to ask guests to keep the noise down.Screaming kids, boisterous behaviour and a lot of drugs being taken. I was told the next day that it is not the hotels responsibility of the noise of their guests as the rooms are made comfortable. ||Plus, it is facing a busy road so you will hear cars especially trucks at all hours. ||I did not sleep.
Couldn’t beat the price for a room in Ft Lauderdale. We just needed a place to lay our heads before our cruise. Front desk was very friendly and room was clean. No bugs that I’ve seen so far. Across the street from a Winn Dixie, deli open for breakfast and lunch, McDonalds and a tasty pizza shop. I’d stay here again.
If I could give -5 stars I would… do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. Room full of roaches, flies, and hair balls. We immediately left the place. No manager was available either. Don’t come here!!
The room does not look like anything advertised everything is very very old elevator and hallway super dirty it’s suppose to be a non smoking room
And the room smelled like pure cigarettes they clean the bare minimum
I had to shower w sandals. And when I was checking out the receptionist told
A guest on the phone that the only reason they got bad reviews is because customers are trying to get discounts 😒
a place that feels like home away from home. Fully furnished apartments near the intercoastal, only a 5-minute stroll from the beach and other popular Fort Lauderdale attractions. An intimate gathering in the center of Fort Lauderdale.
We just found the most perfect place to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area, Manhattan Towers Apartment Hotel. A hidden gem, a Shangri-La. The perfect location on the intercoastal and a couple of blocks from Fort Lauderdale beach. A beautiful well-maint
Family had a great time. Location is great with the beach a few steps across the street and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The pool was great but unfortunately we didnât get lucky with the weather. Our room was plenty spacious for
Loved this studio. Very clean, and they provide you with all the materials to enhance your yogi experience. Laura was an excellent instructor, canât wait to be a part of her future classes.
Absolutely one of our favorite spots in all of the Fort Lauderdale food scene. Great knowledge and selection of natural wines, next level food with a constant rotating menu. This was one of the best Caesar salads Iâve ever had in my life, the Cacio
After searching for restaurants offering Poke Bowls, we landed here by coincidence. That was however the best thing that could have happened to us because the bowls were absolutely delicious and soo fresh! The couple was super friendly and the man wa
