Gazebo under the seagrapes is awesome , But I can't find a way to load pictures of the 50# Black tip shark I caught this morning 9/27/23 .
However the neighbor next door (Terry) who helped me release it might still have a picture of it.
The views are amazing! The beach access couldn’t have been better and we had the whole beach to ourselves. No big groups to fight through for a good spot. The rooms are a bit outdated but this is not a new fancy resort. This is a smaller privately owned inn. Good location. Right in the middle between good fishing spots and town.
Our reservation spanned the Christmas holidays with an unfortunate cold spell in FL. We woke up Christmas morning to a really cold room, and couldn’t get any heat. The gentleman next door (a contractor) tried to help but got an error code on the remote. So I called the number on the room greeting card and left a voice mail about the situation. Not hearing back, I decided to send a text. I finally received a call and let the person (not sure if she was the owner or manager) know what had happened. Her response to me was it was Christmas… that I could stay in the room as is or there are plenty of places up and down the road where we might find a place, and she would refund us for two days. I was taken aback… it was Christmas Day… for her… and for us. I told her I would discuss with my husband and let her know. We were able to find a place (thank heavens), so I texted her that information and that we would be moving out. We texted back and forth several times (neither one of us very happy), where at one point she called us FREAKS (in all caps). We picked up our stuff, left the room key and moved to our alternate location. Later Christmas Day, she texted that the heat was now working, and that she would not refund our money for the two days… after she knew we had made other arrangements. In hindsight, a simple response during our initial phone call such as …”We are in the middle of a Christmas meal. I will check and get back to you in 2 hours…” would have mitigated all the hard feelings. We now have a dispute with our credit card company for those two days (with texts backing up those conversations). Perhaps the owner/manager will re-think the situation and issue the credit for those two days. We can then both go our separate ways with lessons learned for both of us. And I should note… the room was very dated, rust spots on the refrigerator, no hair dryer, no extra blankets, plug in bathroom didn’t work (tried re-setting the GFI), and just overall in need of work. On the plus side, the access to the beach is really awesome.
This place is AWESOME!! We were able to take our Yellow Lab who had a blast on the beach. Sandy was very helpful and accommodated us on a last minute reservation for Memorial Day. The place is clean and spacious and I love that they have a ramp going down to beach easier than stairs all single level units. We stayed in one bedroom when you walk in you have a queen bed, futon, tv, full kitchen with pots, pans, silverware, coffee maker everything you could want. The sunrises are to die for and the stars are absolutely stunning at night. This is not a resort by any means no pool, but who cares you got miles of private beach! We will definitely be back!! Thanks so much guys you ROCK! I posted my sunset pics and tagged Ocean Pines and I see them on this page!
This was just the perfect place for us. We loved our room and they fact that we could have our dogs with us. This is not a fancy hotel but it is right on the beach. The room had a FULL size kitchen fully stocked with everything except food. There is a publix about 2 miles down the road.|The owner and manager really made our stay enjoyable. There is not a pool, but ITS THE BEACH right outside your door.|We stayed in room 4 with a queen bed and charming vaulted ceilings with ceiling fan. They have an awesome courtyard with grills, tables and chairs for you to use. |There are only 5 rooms here and basically a private beach, with a gazebo to enjoy your coffee and watch a beautiful morning sunrise. |It didn't even feel like a hotel, we felt like We were at home the entire time. |We love this place so much we will probably book the whole place to have our wedding here. |If you are looking for a quiet beach getaway without all the noise and people of chain hotels, you can't beat staying here. |** tip It is well water here so bring bottled water if you are not used to the taste of well water.
This was a lovely little in. Small, secluded, simple, and quiet. The road behind can be a little noisy but really not bad. The yard and gazebo are nice. The ocean view and access are great. Awesome beach with shells, crabs, pelicans, ibises, sand, plants, and fish. Small inn means few neighbors and the neighborhood is quiet too. The inn is more like staying at a friend's house than a motel. It is quaint, oddly decorated, and while tidy and clean, it is not the hyper sanitary clean you expect at bigger hotels or resorts. Our room did have a strong smell like burnt plastic that persisted through the stay but we bought air freshener to spritz when we were there. The coffee machine, fridge, microwave, and fully stocked kitchen is awesome nice. Aside from the smell, I was pleased.
We booked a room with 2 beds for us and our grandson. When we got there we had a double bed and a couch. We were ok with that when we were told we could move the next day to a room with 2 beds when they got around to cleaning it. Unfortunately our room had 2 towels 2 wash clothes an extra pillow but no pillowcase and an extra blanket. I asked twice over a 4 hour period to get an extra towel at least and no on has responded. We are the only vehicle here. The beach is great the room is very dated the floor is dirty and there is zero response to my request. The hotel is advertised as a classic hotel but it is just run down. No hair dryer, no shampoo, no coffee, not enough towels, no ice maker, and no response to our request for even a towel.
My mum has been going for year and she has loved it. As a birthday present she got me a room last year and I can not wait to go back. The other people were so nice and the beach was beautiful with nice people all around. If you can try to stay here do it. They are dog friendly and your dog will like it just as much as you.
Wow, what a little gem in a beautiful location. The owners were not there but the manager treated us like royalty. We were amazed at how clean and stunning everything was, we loved the quaint courtyard poolside. The breakfast was to die for, it simpl
