Affordable course, nice layout, easy to play. An errant drive on a couple holes will put your ball out in the street. Clubhouse is good, staff is nice and they don't follow you around the course like some do. Decent driving range with a net about 250 yards deep. Gas carts. If you want a fun time in the middle of Ocala proper, then be sure to tee off here.
This is an update to my review of 2 years ago. The Ocala Golf Course is one of my favorite courses in the Silver Springs area. The course is well taken care of and a joy to play. The course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I like the uniquely designed 5 par 5s and 5 par 3s. It is worth the effort to come and play golf here. I definitely recommend it for all skill levels.
Our muni is the best. The greens are fast and the course is so playable. I highly recommend it. The staff is great too.
We recently had a junior golf tournament at this course and it was a great experience. The staff was helpful even when the weather conditions threatened the tournament. The course and practice facilities were in great shape, with nice fairways, a fair number and placement of hazards, and greens that rolled true. Definitely recommend this course when in Ocala.
Started playing golf a little over a year ago and this was where I started playing and learning. Richard and the staff are super helpful and nice, course is getting better every time I play, and I’m excited for the renovations once they are complete. Such a great experience all around. The hard work doesn’t go unnoticed I appreciate it!
I played the course last week. Pace of play was great. Pro Shop and Staff were very helpful. The course is in decent shape. Some tee boxes hadn't been mowed in a while and others were spotty. Fairways played pretty well and greens rolled true, slightly slow. Restaurant is under renovation so no food. No drinking water on the course but cups and ice are provided which was helpful. Course is not difficult. Would definitely play again. Price is very reasonable.
Easy course, the staff is always great, average snacks. The prices are good here. Drinks lots of water!
