Oaklawn Inn - Bed & breakfast in Menomonie - 423 Technology Dr E, USA

We liked our stay at Oaklawn - a magnificent old mansion with a rich history. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Stephanie was a great host and prepared a wonderful breakfast. She also accommodated us with a way to charge our e-bikes. Our only dis was that the room wasn't ready when we arrived, something which she owned up to.

What a find! I was traveling alone and found the Oaklawn Inn on my google search. Stephanie was awesome! She welcomes guests with a history lesson of the home and the surroundings. Her passion for home is infectious! The rooms are neat and tidy and most of all comfortable and private. I have food allergies and she prepared a breakfast to accommodate and it was 5 star all the way! The house has gathering areas, game areas and a dreamy wrap around, screened porch with a breeze straight from Heaven! I highly recommend you choose this over a hotel if you find yourself in the Menomonie Wisconsin area - you won't be disappointed.

Stephanie, the gracious host, has managed to preserve the original beauty and charm of this Victorian house while making it comfortable for contemporary guests. The living areas are luxurious, but not museum-like. The bed frames are antique, but with modern mattresses and springs. The bathroom fixtures are modern and first class. The shower is the best that I have ever seen in a public accommodation —much better than those cramped, leaky things so common in Europe. We stayed at the Oaklawn for four nights, and Stephanie served a different gourmet breakfast every morning. We will definitely be coming back.

My siblings and I, along with our spouses, were looking for a place for a brief weekend family reunion. We decided to meet in Menomonie since it was equidistant from all of our homes and several of us were born and have family ties there. The home is magnificent, romantic, filled with period furnishings. Given that we had the house to ourselves it was the perfect arrangement. We took full advantage of the sitting room, parlor, dining area and magnificent wrap around screen porch and grounds. Stephanie was extremely helpful, accommodating and communicative before and during our stay.

We stayed in the blue room for one night on the way home to Canada after attending a wedding in Michigan. I saw the reviews for this place and honestly didn’t know what I was more excited for; Seeing the place in person, or getting to meet Stephanie the hostess! She was a wonderful hostess, an excellent cook, (and as the rest of the reviews mentioned) very knowledgable about the history of the acreage and the house! Everything was so amazingly clean and extremely comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home! We will be back!!

Our little get away was the best! Went to Vino in the Valley for an evening of fun and then found this lovely Inn as the icing on the cake! Just lovely and our room was stunning...The bed was so comfy. We left our room window open to hear the frogs lull us off to sleep and then up early to sit with coffee on the screen porch. Other guests did the same and had the most delightful breakfast together. In the top 10 of our favorite memories!

The Oaklawn Inn is a beautiful property and the location is perfect. Stephanie is a most gracious hostess, her crepes were outstanding. The Blue Room was spacious, comfortable and charming. The common areas were extensive and cozy. We highly recommend this B&B.

Clean, comfortable, a soft bed and a nice breakfast in the morning. The Oaklawn Inn is a nice change from a regular hotel, and one can really relax on the back porch. It was a very unique and satisfying experience and I hope to return in the future
