My significant other and I spent a long weekend at Oakland Manor House last weekend to celebrate his birthday and could not have had a more enjoyable time! We stayed in the Grace Suite #5 on the 1st floor which features a king sized bed, large soaking tub and a shower built for two. The accommodations were superb! The bed, and the linens on it, were fabulous! We spent time in the tub each night winding down from the day and enjoying the warm soothing water. Overall our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. ||||Each morning a nice continental fare was provided with enough variety, and consideration for special diets, to appease just about anyone and the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had! Cyndi the Innkeeper was warm and welcoming during the check-in and each morning at breakfast but also made sure we had plenty of privacy during our stay. ||||We used the bikes provided by the Inn to ride on the West Orange Trail, which is only a few blocks away, several times. A ride into Winter Garden only takes about 10 minutes and it’s a lovely one. In Winter Garden you’ll find a variety of shops, restaurants and a great Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. We really enjoyed the Plant Street Market with its various food stalls and the Rooftop Bar at the Whole Enchilada!||||We left our weekend at the Oakland Manor House feeling relaxed and rested! If you are looking for a nice getaway that feels a million miles away from the Mickey Mouse crowds of Orlando then look no further!
We've stayed at Oakland Manor House numerous times. Its proximity to Orlando is nice and has the ability to feel like you're at home. The home is a historic mansion and has an awesome history that the owner purposely kept intact so that those who visit and stay understand the history of this mansion. There are 2 separate kitchens and housekeeping kept me & my family stocked on the essentials. We walked to the dock every night. It's a little piece of FL that has remained the same. For those that want frills and commercial-style lodging with an ice machine, stay in town but if you want a genuine, history laden location with true charm--stay here!
My wife and I were looking for a place to have a intimate wedding that would focus on friends and family without all the fanfare or the usual chaos and insanity of the typical wedding. We also didn't want to take out a 2nd mortgage just so we could have a really nice affair. We checked out Oakland Manor since it's close to where live in Clermont and we liked the idea of having our non-traditional wedding in a unique setting. The minute we walked in, my then fiance' fell immediately in love with OMH. The house is quaint and quirky and lovely all at the same time. We told them what we wanted and what we were willing to spend and they were able to tailor a menu and setup that was exactly what we were hoping for. Actually, it ended up being much more than we had hoped for. Chef Ruth came up with a menu that was delicious and inviting and everything we wanted. We had a buffet setup and I can say in all honesty that I've never expected the food to be so outstanding. Ruth is a magician. There was nothing I didn't find delicious and the guests raved about everything from food to the table settings to the overall charm of the house. We can't say enough about OMH. Dianne, Gabby & Charlotte went above and beyond to make our day incredible. The main suite was amazing and all the different rooms are comfortable, with their own unique characteristics. There is literally nothing else they could have done to make our weekend more wonderful than they did. They knocked it out of the park. Five stars without hesitation.
What an amazing place! With 8 women coming in town to celebrate my birthday, I knew I would need to find a place for us all to stay together. The Oakland Manor House was perfect! I rented the house for the weekend and it was the most ideal place for us all to be together. It felt like we were at a familiar family home and Cynthia, the owner fit right in with all of us. We had many perks including yoga, great food and wine and carefree girl time. We will be back!!
Love love love this place. The Oakland Manor is a beautiful, southern, charming |home with big oak trees dripping in moss. The rooms are each uniquely decorated to fit everyone’s personality. The kitchen felt like home were you could casually sit and sip your coffee and chat, or you could go off to be alone in one of the many rooms. We rented the whole place and had my sisters birthday “60 “|Here. Yoga was offered in the morning and art classes at night. I would go back with the girls or my husband anytime.
Had a great time at the sip and paint the night we stayed here. It was a last minute booking for the b&b and the painting party was more fun than anything I could have planned. They also have yoga classes and massage that will come on site. Our room had prohibition era history which made staying there interesting and special. The bed was extremely comfy. Having a common area for snacks anytime and coffee in the morning was nice. Individual climate control made our room just perfect for us. The host was very accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better experiance. We've stayed at a lot of b&b's this was by far, one of the best.
We had an amazing stay at the Oakland Manor House. The property has a lot of character and each room has its own theme. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. This is the perfect getaway. We will definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was healthy and the music they played made us dance when no one was looking.
It truly is a place like no other. Thank you!
Beautiful historic home. Stayed at this home with a crew of engineers from May through July of 22. Never saw any ants as described in other review but we took the trash out and the house clean so perhaps that is why. Location in great, home is very nice. Would definitely come back.
This isnât a long trail but great fun for kiddos. The boardwalk trail is handicap accessible. The red of the trail is not. We have seen a bob cat here while being very quiet but if youâre making noise youâre not likely to see any birds or wildl
A wonderful surprise tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Oakland. We truly enjoyed the intimate experience of this lovely coffee shop surrounded by big trees that provided shade for the outdoor seating. As you come inside, it feels as though you a
