I've been coming to this park for years ever since my mom would force us up early in the morning to go walking as kids. I prefer to ride my bike instead. The sidewalks are nice and smooth for that and there are a few hills to help get that work out in. Watch out for the ducks and geese though.
They cleaned it ...added new path way new bridge looks great and it's peaceful..
Large park with walking path that goes always around a small lake that has lots ducks, who like to be feed. Playgrounds, a pavilion l, and skate park add lots of activities and enjoy from a visit to this beautiful place.
Oakland Park has a GREAT sidewalk that frames the park. Up until a few years ago, before the installation of the sidewalk, you hardly ever saw folks walking the park. Now, no matter the weather, people are walking, jogging, skateboarding, etc.
Very good local park to go either alone or with family. I gave it 4 stars because it has mostly what a park has, playgrounds, ducks, and empty grassy land. But it has it's cons. There are only 2 playgrounds here. Which is a bit boring. The empty space in the park is used mostly for easter eggs or picnics, but year round it's bland. The skate park is a plus but obviously if you only know how to roller skate or skate (bikes and scooters aren't allowed). The restrooms, which are 3 port-a-potties in total I'm sure, are good and not disgusting as most assume they are. Very good park if you can drive there or if a parent let's you walk to it.
We have been coming to this park for a very long time sice our kids were small. It's being upgraded in some areas over all a good place to come and take a walk. Also they hold yoga classes by the pavillion.
Really enjoyed a day here with my Mom and Siblings for an impromptu meet-up and meal. Port a potties were surprisingly decent to use.
The park used to be very nice but is now inundated with homeless ,drug use and generally overtaken by immigrants at all times of the day and all times of the week. Homeless are setting fires in pavilion tables and generally destroying it. The city of Fort Worth parks and police can't be bothered to enforce any park rules and generally allow people to do whatever they want at the park and around the city. It is shameful and the mayor should be embarrassed as this used to be a fantastic city to live in.

A very scenic park and generally quiet, with a little traffic of the occasional bicycle rider. There are a bunch of trails of the main path to enjoy. I usually get 10,000 steps in and the time flies by because it's so pretty and fun to visit. It's al

We love this spot. Have been coming here for years. My daughter loves to splash in the lake and feed the ducks and spend a few minutes on the playground before we leave.
I love the size of this park and the trees. It's beautiful in mid fall when all the leaves are changing color. There's a walking trail that goes around the perimeter of the park which is a good distance. The playground is nice and there is a commu
