Oakland Cottage - Bed & breakfast in Asheville - 74 Oakland Rd, USA

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Oakland Cottage B&B (Room #5, Garden Room). House was beautiful. Room was large, clean, had a comfy bed, and a great deck to view the secluded backyard and nature. Very peaceful. The breakfast and daily treats were chef-prepared and outstanding. Chilled water and frosty glasses available which was a nice touch. Innkeeper's Erica & Jim know how to host and take great pride in making sure their guests have a wonderful stay. You won't be disappointed.

This was our second time back and we stayed in the garden room both times. The room is beautiful and rustic, and having that balcony that overlooks the back of the property is so peaceful. The breakfast is to die for, and they were extremely accommodating of my diet as a vegetarian. The location is also between 10 to 15 minutes away from most areas in downtown Asheville, which was very convenient. We absolutely love it here and look forward to coming back!

We only stayed at the Oakland Cottage, but everything was wonderful, and we would definitely stay there again. The house is charming, and we loved the decor. It was great to hear about the history of the home from one of the owners. Our room was small, but adequate. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathrobes were a great touch as well. The best part was the wonderful breakfast. It was probably the best breakfast sandwich we have ever had. Cannot wait to return to Oakland Cottage.

Oakland Cottage is a delightful experience and close to everything in Asheville by a short car drive (about 5 min). We loved the style of the inn and the different breakfast menus every morning. Food was fresh and delicious. I prefer a stronger coffee, so I usually made my own each morning. The room has everything you could need.

We stayed for 5 nights in late June. We had the Magnolia Room. It was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. Our daughter had the sitting room for herself, and she said it was great! The room was exceptionally clean and inviting. I love old homes and this one brought back wonderful memories of my grandmother’s home. Jim and Erica provided the most wonderful breakfasts that were of the ordinary. We had a different breakfast each morning and they were quite filling without weighing us down. The afternoon cookies made by Britt were great. We were close to restaurants, breweries and Biltmore Village. The customer service provided by Jim, Erica and Britt was superb! It was mine and my husband’s first stay in a B&B and now the bar has been set very high. We will plan another trip to Oakland Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oakland Cottage B&B! Jim and Erika are thoughtful hosts. The house is nicely appointed and our room was comfortable, charming and clean. Breakfasts were delicious and cookies (by Britt (sp?)) were a real treat. The house is a short drive to both Biltmore and downtown Asheville, though it sits in a quiet neighborhood. Be sure to ask about the history of the house - it’s quite interesting. We hope to be back soon!

The location was great, the Rose room adorable and comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and Erica is a lovely person and an excellent host. She is a very gracious, friendly, down-to-earth gal who makes you feel at home. We highly recommend staying at Erica and Jim's Oakland Cottage B&B. Thanks Erica, for the special TLC!

The dog room for me and my friend was wonderful. etica . could not be more accommodating and Erika is the most fabulous cook. Breakfast was home cooked every day freshbchicken, eggs, and not the same every day. I think it’s the best place to stay in ashville home away from home.
