Long trails, nature-friendly art, exercise equipment, lots of animals and a great mixture of paved trails and rougher paths
The vernal pools were beautiful under a soft spring sky. Deer roamed peacefully all over the park and the fungi were abundant. My only disappointment is that the paved paths are too worn for a scooter visit this summer with the kids.
Very nice long trails for you to walk. The bridge down the middle dividing the pond is very nice looking. A lot of short pads as well so you can make any sort of length loop that you want. Parking is easy. The building is open, even right now during the Coronavirus time. Lots of really nice exercise equipment scattered throughout the park as well.
Clean bathrooms, beautiful kids room with books to read little ones and animals related learning exhibits and touchable objects. There are also free kids activities for free. My favorite was seeing the bee hive box they placed next to the window for kids to see. Staff were very friendly and the aderondak chairs out front looked very inviting under the veranda.
Two easy paved loops with unpaved trails off the southern loop. Lots of wildlife. If you are a birder bring binoculars; lots of waterfowl and woodland birds.
Wonderful preserve with lots of paths and a nature center. There are also various exercise stations scattered throughout the paths. A great place to come with your kids or for a peaceful walk.
Nice easy trails for anyone. Not a lot of wildlife to be seen over our several times here. Great option for families
Always a wonderful place for a walk, quiet,lots of trees just sit and listen to all the frogs in the ponds.there are also exercise areas arpund the trails and some boxes with extra bags for walking your dog. The other peopke using the trail seem to do a pretty good job of cleaning up after their dogs. (Which is so nice) there is also a nature center on the grounds a picnic pavillion and an old school house. This nature preserve also had tons of apple trees when the season came around last year.
