We stopped for breakfast after running errands. We're from out of town and it was the first time we had been there. The service was spot on with very friendly and welcoming staff. Our food was excellent and the portions were perfect. This little diner is cozy and very clean, even the restrooms were clean and fresh. We'll be back. 😊
We found this quiet little diner a few months ago. It clearly has been discovered by locals for awhile. Have yet to be disappointed with the amazing service. Breakfast is the main reason we go. Everything omlet is my favorite while my wife loves the steak and eggs.
Thick Porkchop and eggs were good. Staff is friendly, clean, and bathroom. This place is very small over crowded but the food is good.
Good food and decent prices. I feel lucky to find a seat when I go because the place is always full or just about. Servers are courteous, fast, and attentive. As busy as it is, I've never had to wave down a server or even wait very long for a refill or the check.
5 Stars means my expectations were exceeded. Onions cooked in with the hash browns such that they still had a moist crunch. I asked for and received my eggs poached soft - which is really hard to when the restaurant is busy and the short order cook is firing on all cylinders. The steak was well trimmed and cooked to medium (light pink in the center). Just as ordered. All this topped with the friendly service make this a perfect dinner.
Been eating there since 2008. I've heard it had been there longer. But I always enjoy the country cooking being from Texas. Want to thank the staff and their excellence!
THE GOOD AND BAD: I've seen this place in passing on my way to and from the trailer court. Doesn't look like much from afar.. wasn't until it was recommended to us by a stranger that I decided to give it a try. Walking in I immediately noticed how clean it was. Seemed newly updated. There was no sign to wait to be seated or otherwise. So we sat in the only available spot. The booths weren't very comfortable. I liked how they served breakfast and dinner all day. Was pleased they had my favourite soda. Mug root beer. I came here wanting a juicy burger and wasn't disappointed! I got the double beacon cheese burger with the waffle fries. Wasn't informed that fires were extra $$. The fries and burger were delicious! I gave it 4 stars because though my food was delicious the ketchup tasted bad and my boyfriends food wasn't. He got the roast beef special. Mashed potatoes were instant and the roast beef seemed like it was a frozen dinner they thawed and served. We weren't impressed especially since they boast that it's a restaurant that specializes in making their dishes homemade. But the coffee was good and the waitress was super nice and attentive. So 4 it got. I'll definitely be back.
Excellent place to get food. It is a bit small. For breakfast, the only thing was they deep fry their American fries and both my mothers and my American fries were not cooked thoroughly. Otherwise that, everything else what great. Service can be a bit touchy towards closing as it seems they just want to get out.
The best cinnamon rolls in Iowa are right here at West End Perk! I used to live in Marshalltown and every time I come back, I have to come have that cinnamon roll and a caramel-vanilla latte. The owner is fabulous and is in house every day. And don'
As always, the food here is amazing! One of the great things about sub city is the freshness and the speed. The prices are good for the food you get. Only downside is that it's cash only, but there is an ATM in the store next door.
Purchased a bed frame along with a mattress from Slumberland. Felipe was the one to help me pick out a bed and provide details about the bed I was looking at. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and very satisfied with slumberland. Good prices

We stayed at the hotel which was clean, comfortable and quiet. The room was huge and very nicely appointed. Bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a recliner chair in the room. Delicious, fresh breakfast in a homey atmosphere!
