Ny Hibachi Buffet - Buffet restaurant in Hickory - 2128 US Hwy 70 SE, USA

I think the people rating this so low genuinely have faulty taste buds and prefer to go to places like Mcdonalds. Despite it being a buffet, the food always tastes fresh and flavourful even if you go near closing time. The food isnt overly greasy and salty like a lot of these americanised asian places that want to appeal to southern people. Ny hibachi does the best sushi in the area by far , i usually grab a whole tray. I hate chinese food and this is the only place ive ever been where it surprisingly tastes good? Idk what they do here to make the food taste so great but i hope it never changes. The service is also very good , i dont know her name but theres a super pretty server with long dark hair who is so smiley and kind , i literally remembered her from last time i was here on holiday a year ago because shes so welcoming and friendly! 10/10 service and food every single time ive been

New tradition for Christmas. My daughter & I doing Christmas Day to eat buffet style. Almost every item of food & dessert you can eat until you're full. It was yummy! Search internet for every item of food they have & they have ToGo orders

Extremely busy place but no wait or empty containers on an amazing buffet. Drinks were kept full and dirty plates off tables. The best buffet I have had with one tiny issue, I personally would prefer that it could be a little warmer on the buffet. Food gets cool on plate pretty quickly. Still would be my #1 choice if this was what I was wanting to eat at the time. This is about an hour from me, so it has to be good to drive that far. Great job to all!

We stopped here on Thanksgiving. We were passing through the area and there was basically nothing else open. The parking lot was full so we thought we'd give it a try. The employees were all very friendly (except for one hostess whose face clearly displayed the fact she didn't want to be there). The restaurant appeared clean so +1. Our Chinese buffet at home closed all their buffet bars but a couple after COVID so we stopped going there. This place has 8 bars plus the sushi bar and dessert so we felt the price was reasonable. It was also a plus that there is a discount for paying cash. It was super busy when we were there but all the bars were very well maintained. The hot food we selected was hot and very fresh. On a personal note, the croutons on the salad bar were soggy/stale and where were the bacon bits? They had signs asking everyone to use a disposable glove when serving their food but we saw nobody doing it and nobody trying to enforce it. They also didn't enforce the "no children serving themselves" signage (that's the reason for my #4 overall score). If we happen to be in the area again we probably would eat here again.

Much more expensive than in the past. Bar was well stocked but unfortunately, only green beans, rice & lo mein for vegetarians, unless you get something grilled at the hibachi part. Food overall just didn’t have much flavor.

I love coming here to eat I usually eat here at least once a week.. They have so much to choose from. The Buffet Bar is always full of food and the staff is constantly cleaning. If you leave hungry then you didn't try to eat. The staff is always friendly.and the restaurant is clean.

Friendly folks offering a very good, fresh buffet with a vast selection. I don't care for sushi but if you do, I'm told theirs is excellent. As soon as a customer vacates a table the staff is quickly on the spot cleaning on, around and under it. That's super important to me in this day and time. Lunch time is my favorite time to go. I can eat to the point of popping, add a 20 percent tip and I'm out the door for $13 and some change. Who has room for supper that evening? Not possible at a fast food joint.

We have been going here since our previous favorite Hibachi/Asian buffet shut down. We just walked out after a cockroach crawled across our table. Food has always been good for a buffet, it never felt dirty, but that was the end of our visits here. Staff were understanding of the circumstance, and comped the “meal” as we had just set down and had some sushi. Waitress was nice, atmosphere is what you would expect, maybe a little nicer than the average buffet. The guy at the service desk was a little short, but not rude. Asked if we were leaving and said we were good to leave. Really unfortunate to have to find a new place when we are craving a Asian buffet, but I don’t think I could go back. First experience of that happening in any restaurant.
