Tasty, but too expensive at $15.95 for a bunch of fish cakes, spicy fried chicken, butter melon, croquette, and mac salad (no rice). Sounds like a lot of food, but look at the photo! Before starting, I kept thinking I should’ve gone to L&L instead for some freshly prepared hot food. Turns out, fish cakes were just ok, but the spicy fried chicken, mac salad, and croquette were excellent. The best was the butter melon, though. Docked one star for the high price. I might return to try some of their other dishes.
They renovated not so long ago. The space is even bigger and not overwhelming like the old space. The interior made me feel like home and very refreshing. The food is still as fresh and tasty ever since. Aunty gave me a fresh banana (so kind and friendly). One negative thing is the food kinda cold but I have no problem with that since I eat cold pizza and burgers all the time. They also take credit card and you can also earn points for rewards. I will visit more often!
Saw in bon appetit. Japanese deli. Owner starts prepping the food. Cross between southern food and Asian. Try the panko crusted furikake chicken and collard greens.
I live a few blocks away and pass a dozen restaurants on the way here. Not only is it cheaper than all of them, the food has never been short of amazing. Juiciest meat downtown. Staff is always quick, friendly, and helpful.

The staff is friendly and attentive and always willing to make recommendations. Overall, Nu'uanu Okazuya is a great place to go for a delicious and affordable Japanese meal. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Here are some of the pros and cons of Nu'uanu Okazuya: Pros: Delicious food Generous portions Reasonable prices Friendly and attentive service Family-owned and operated Cons: Can be crowded at peak times No parking lot (street parking only)
We ate at Nu'uanu Okazuya pre-COVID-19. RESTAURANT: The restaurant is small, but has a parking lot next door and ample street parking. Inside the restaurant, it feels like you are at your Japanese grandmother's house. The counter, where you order, feels like the kitchen, the two tables feel like a dining room, and the area with a couch and television feels like a living room. It is the cutest little place, ever. SERVICE: The staff talks to everyone like long-term friends or family members. It makes you feel like you could just spend the day lounging there, eating and watching television. FOOD: We ordered the fried chicken, nishime, greenbean stirfry, and stuffed bittermelon. Everything tasted like a home-cooked meal! Every bite will leave your heart feeling warm and cared for.
Place is great. Like the shoyu chicken. The Scott special on Sunday. I added eggs and samon. Boy I was full.

This is a must for breakfast. I always order the salmon and roe musubi. I know everyone comes here for the spam but these triangle goodness is the best. The line does get quite long as sometimes it takes 25-35 mins to get your food. But you know it w
A great blend of traditional and hip, serving a really unique menu of Japanese delicacies. Suggest the mac nut tofu and their signature rekkon cheese (Japanese style mini pizza) appetizers to start. The sushi selection is of highest quality. Save ro
Hands down best sushi in Hawaii. Gaku was recommended to us by our scuba diving instructor who is a Japanese sushi chef before moving to Hawaii. Every piece of sushi is prepared so delicately and skillfully. Each cut of the fish is so precise and fin

I was very impressed with Gyotaku. To start, the salad was a really delicious surprise with a much appreciated imitation crab piece. For the entree, the steak was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. It came with tempura as a combo, which was a fan
Worth the visit! The fruit punch was delicious and we loved the crispy pork gyoza. The tonpeiyaki (pork omelette) was also awesome. It was also entertaining to watch the chef cook it in front of us and have him immediately serve our food hot. Beca
You know its a good Japanese restaurant when most of the patrons are Japanese speakers. The price is decent and this place satisfy my ikura/uni cravings. Most of the meals comes with both a rice and soba combo. Also, this is the first time I tried
I celebrated my birthday here with my family this week. The waiters and waitresses were very patience. One of the child who came to this dinner had a weird obsession with eating lemons. The servers had no problem with giving him a lot of lemons to ea
I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout

Le's Banh Mi in Honolulu, Hawaii is a hidden gem on the third floor of the 808 building. Their excellent Vietnamese sandwiches are a delight for banh mi lovers. The clean and welcoming balcony seating area adds to the experience. The Saigon style ban
This gluten free bakery was what dreams are made of. If youâre looking for sage gluten free (and some vegan) options too, I recommend getting out of Waikiki and stocking up here on your visit to Hawaii when you can. I brought my gluten free family
Absolutely loved the hike steady climb Iâm a big guy and made it with no problems. Elderly people women holding babies even the show off running up and down the hill just do it and say you have done it!
Incredible food not only for a food truck, but anywhere. We had the steak plate and the beef bowl. The meet was incredibly tender. The sides added, but didnât steal the show. I highly recommend.
I enjoy the yoga practice, 60 min bikram session is time effective for me, clean dressing rooms, showers, great smelling shampoo and conditioner âï¸easy to refill water bottle, all around great experience. Most importantly run by great people
