Very nice local outdoor store, think REI but smaller. Great selection of various items from camping/hiking gear to clothes, shoes, and odds and ends (bags, stickers, art, etc). Prices are good and they have reliable brands. Lots of parking out front.
Extremely rude staff. Extremely overpriced gear. Set up to rip off tourists.
Everything you need for the great outdoors, friendly staff and quality products and clothing, I shop here all the time I love everything they have
Excellent locally owned and operated outdoor gear store.
Clothes and shoe focused. Good variety of men's and women's clothes, and good mix of local and international brands.
Great selection. Inviting, well organized store layout. A local favorite for decades. Offers customer appreciation program at no charge with annual dividend payable as in store credit. Helpful sales staff. Pricing is not outrageous, but reflective of the experience provided and the generally high quality of nearly everything in the store. Towards the end of each season, gear that is about to be too warm or too cool for the following season can be found dramatically discounted towards the back of the store. A carefully "curated" selection of excellent gear from some of the niche brands in outdoor gear which are not as heavily advertised, with excellent materials and production methods employed. Selection rotates to remain seasonally useful specific to the local climate. Helpful sales staff. Mix of gear with the focus clearly being on fishing, hiking, camping, Street running, trail running, Nordic skiing, and light backpacking. Always have a selection of new and innovative gear and toys for camping and backpacking along with the top brands and designs in ultralight backpacking and clever solutions for low elevation Alpine mountaineering and ultralight camping.
Great experience ordering online from this store. Erik was wonderful with communication and reaching out to me personally when an item I wanted to order restocked. I’ll be telling all my friends and coworkers about this awesome company!
Stopped in to upgrade rain gear while visiting Juneau. The staff was tremendously knowledgeable and helpful. I got far better rain gear for Alaskan outdoor adventure conditions than my Marmot gear from REI and at far better prices. The staff made sure all gear we purchased fit properly - ensuring all layers were accounted for. We also purchased awesome waterproof gloves. Great staff, great gear, great prices. Highly recommend!!!

Taku Lodge was amazing. The staff to the views. I couldn't get over the view of the glaciers. The salmon lunch was fantastic! After lunch, we got to hear all about the previous owners of the lodge. Then on to a nature walk. The whole place is an expe
This shop is real authentic! Small shop but very welcoming. I went to Alaska looking for some buds and The Fireweed Factory delivered! Solid prices for their product. Will definitely come back during my stay.
Short walk from the cruise area if you're looking for a chill local bar to go to. Reasonable prices. I recommend a beer flight, three-four ounce pours for only $12 plus tax. Didn't try their food but it smelled awesome. Upscale looks without the upsc
Amazing beers!! Great vibes!! We enjoyed the beers & the popcorn at BBC! Every customer at the brewery seemed to be having a great time and it was such a happy vibe! Enjoyed being there! The rescued cat, Simcoe, also did his bit to keep everyone en
We stopped into this little bookstore during a cruise stop in Juneau. The store, with its adorably creaky wood floors and aesthetically arranged books, has a wide variety of used books, many focused on Alaska. The bookstore clerk engaged in friendly
Nice & easy walking path to get here if you have decent mobility. Not ideal for limited mobility. Great signage. You can't get lost. Saw lots of small wildlife, like mice & birds. Someone reported seeing a bear, but we didn't see it. You can get so c
Excellent fresh seafood with outdoor setting and a fun atmosphere. The best tacos - they are delicious, and so are the loaded fries. Thereâs a reason why so many locals and your guides recommend visiting this place! Queues can be long during luncht
Very well done in cute little park. Convenient to just sit down and see the sights. Restrooms are available that were clean and warm in the area was exceedingly dog friendly as it was wide open.
Great Nordic skiing today. My first day. Lots of people with and without their doggo companions. Good skiing. Good snowpack for walking!! I do believe spring will come. I heard the birds!!
This was one of the best tours we did on our journey to Alaska. Garyâs portion of the tour was fantastic, 37+ years in miningâ¦he is a real treasure. It was as authentic of a mining tour as weâd ever been on. I highly, highly recommend wearing b
