Amazing atmosphere. It was very fun to find the correct entrance and ring the bell, provide the password etc. The historic building was a big draw.
The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was excellent and so were the drinks.
The service however was lacking and did cause some disappointment as we’d really been looking forward to coming. We dressed up and brought out of town guests.
They were not at all crowded but everything was extremely slow. I suspect they were understaffed. I recognize it is a holiday week and it was also a week night but in the course of about 2 hours we were able to order 2 drinks. I know at least one other table left because they’d been there 30+ minutes without even being able to order. It was not a friendly or inviting vibe. When we were let in we were just told to sit wherever and the server walked off and we didn’t see another staff member for maybe 20 mins.
I definitely want to give it another chance but I was honestly pretty bummed overall. For spending $130, I’d expect a bit better.
I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, not a single person in our party thought it would be worth returning.
While we were there for almost 3 hours we each were only able to get 2 drinks. Service was painfully slow. The server kept telling us they were overwhelmed and behind with drinks however the "host/owner" continued to make his rounds socializing while patrons waited 30 min or more for a drink. The prices they are charging did not match the quality of service expected.
Reviewing the Soup Joint, open Tuesday through Friday from 11-2. Very cool atmosphere. I had the chicken wild rice soup with breadsticks $8. Flavor very tasty. Will definitely go back for lunch again. The waitress was very friendly.
The place was fun. There was a wait at the door due to not having a dedicated host on a Saturday evening. I was with a group of 7, so we expected a delay in getting drinks, but it was almost an hour from order to the first drink arriving. Also, the drinks in the speakeasy are the same as for the restaurant Club 300. So no real draw to go only to the speakeasy. They do have a good bar selection and I appreciated seeing George Dickel as an option to Jack Daniels.
This place is amazing, I've been to a few speakeasy's and this one is great. When you actually stumble your way across the "correct" entrance you get the full tour and experience. The drinks are very unique along of gin options. The only downfall is there are not any tequila inspired drinks. There are a few mezcal based.
My husband celebrated his birthday at Nuckys. We had a private room so our friends could come and enjoy. The staff was very attentive, kind and helpful throughout the evening. We absolutely loved it and got lots of compliments on the food and drink variety and taste. A classy place to go! It has a big city feel in a small town!
Just experienced the new soup, breadstick and salad lunch. The tables are very close together, everything is served in non-compostable plastic, including the cutlery. You were offered one of three different types of soup and one help yourself trip to the mini salad bar for $12. Outside deliveries were made right through the middle of the restaurant. The main door to the restaurant opened up 2 feet from where we were seated at the table. The food was adequate and nothing to write home about. Great idea, poor execution.
Best place to host a party! Booked the boardwalk for about 30 people for my husband’s 50th. Everyone raved about the place, the food, and the service, top notch! Highly recommend.
Amazing atmosphere, drinks, and fun! Limited on food and really only a couple shareable apps keeps the food stars low. I recommend the four roses old fashion smoked! It's an old school establishment, with new style drinks. Make a reservation in advan
Beautiful scenic walk along the river. Nice little garden, benches to rest on. Can make your way down to the dam and and along trail to the Rum River public water access at Akin Park.
Absolutely love Two Scoops! This was where I was introduced to the Northern Soda and will forever be thankful for that!
I ordered the banana split. I love their sherbet ice cream! They also made me a pineapple ice cream lover!
I LOVE lyric arts! The SpongeBob musical was literally the best thing of my life (seriously, I donât think Iâve ever laughed and enjoyed something so much!)
Free parking lot. Concessions offer popcorn, candy, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Int
I love this coffee & book shop. The staff is VERY FRIENDLY ANS KIND! Iâm a regular there and so is my office! I love that books are being moved upstairs. There will be more space to sit and enjoy your tea/coffee/snacks and while reading!
This was our first experience at the Mad Hatter; and we loved it! My husband and I attended the Christmas tea. It was decorated beautifully. The food was superb, tea selections were delicious. We have been to tea events in British Columbia (they are
Cute little park on the Mississippi in Anoka with some walking trails, benches, playground, gazebo, etc. Nice little nature getaway. Would recommend if looking for a park in the area.
