🍽️ I visited Not Your Average Joe’s in Peabody at the North Shore Mall this past weekend 🌟. From what I’ve heard, this place was a total high school hangout hotspot 🏫🍹. So, I was super excited to see what all the buzz 🐝 was about at this beloved chain. To kick things off, we tried some of their mocktails 🍹 - a perfect choice for anyone doing Dry January! And let’s talk about their table side focaccia bread with olive oil 🥖🫒 - simply divine! For starters, we had their whipped feta dip 🧀. It was creamy, reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, and served with marinated garbanzo beans, sesame crisps, cucumbers, and warm house pita chips 🥙 - a solid 7/10. Next up, Buffalo Chicken Caribbean Tenders 🍗. These hand-breaded beauties were tossed in a mango-buffalo BBQ sauce and served with pineapple-jalapeño salsa and blue cheese dressing. Not too spicy, but a tender lover’s dream - 7/10. But the star of the appetizers? The Coconut Shrimp 🍤. The tangy sauce was a hit - this dish deserves a permanent spot on the menu! 9/10 for sure. Moving on to mains, we had their Chicken Poblano Enchiladas 🌯, Bacon Bleu Burger 🍔, and Mustard-Crusted Chicken 🍗. The enchiladas 7/10 and burger, both specials, were delicious, but my top pick? The Bacon Bleu Burger - an 8/10 thanks to the perfect pairing of bleu cheese. And those sweet potato fries 🍟? Cooked to perfection. The mustard-crusted chicken, served with mashed potatoes and green beans, was a classic but maybe just lacked in flavor - 6/10. For dessert 🍰, we went all out! The “Peanut Butter Thing” 🥜🍫 was a colossal treat - a peanut butter and chocolate chunk vanilla ice cream pie slice, rolled in Oreo crumbs, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with hot chocolate and caramel sauces - a heavenly 9/10. And the donuts in a bag 🍩, served with caramel sauce and apple slices, were great too, although I wished for a bit more cinnamon sugar - 8/10. Overall, Not Your Average Joe’s delivered a fantastic experience! With their extensive menu, you’re sure to find something tantalizing 😋. Food 🍴: 7/10 Ambiance 🌟: 8/10 Affordability 💲: 7/10

Food was good. I always like the food here. doesn't rise to a 4 star for me. Rarely give those. Food was very good. Loved my Salad with quinoa and chicken.. the nachos are ok. not too heavy, which I like, and spread out on a pan, which prevents soggy chips, but lack presentation.

Disappointing food. Went with the waitress recommendations on a mustard crusted chicken breast plate (it was soooo dry and unflavorful). The thai chicken plate was ok but very simple just some steamed veggies thrown over rice with a watery sauce. The nachos entre was the best here.

First time going to a Not Your Average Joe's and I must say it's not your average place. They have a good menu and mixes it up a bit for our indecisiveness on if we want Mexican, Chinese, American, etc. This is what I call an American restaurant but had a good range of choices. Try it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Next time we can't decide on what to eat (husbands/Dad's can relate), I'll default and head here again. Also, they offer a focaccia bread with oil while you are looking over the men; Nice touch.

I got mustard crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Beans were salty, potatoes were Luke warm. Butter would not melt on them. Chicken needed gravy. Waiter brought some gravy that tasted more like duck sauce. You couldn't tell if it was chicken, pork or beef gravy but possibly had applesauce in it to make it sweet. All edible but badly served. I won't be back. Nothing but that meal on the menu appealed to me.

Where to even start. First off, the staff were incredibly nice and very good at their job. The following is zero reflection upon them. The quality and portion are laughable for the price. The Cole slaw was dry, unflavored, and served at about 120 degrees. Just a tiny bowl of hot cabbage. The 2 chicken finger sized pieces of fish tasted really odd. Wrong seasoning. The fries were McDonald's quality, except dryer. All of this for about $24.00. They really need to visit a coastal seafood shack and see how it's done. Don't even ask me why they grilled half a lemon. Nobody knows the answer to that one. Apparently, their reputation has gotten out. We were there at 6 on a Saturday night and there were maybe 10 parties in there. At least 30 empty tables.

Antonia was a lovely server! She was sweet and attentive. Food was great (brunch red eye benedict & pulled pork mac n cheese). Can’t go wrong with free bread too. This is our second time there, we will be back!

The food and drinks were below average. We have been eating at different restaurants at the mall the past few weeks, and this was by far my least favorite one of them all so far. The food wasn’t all that good. The portion was very generous, but the jambalaya was too salty. The tomatoes were in huge pieces. Never before had I ever used a knife to cut tomatoes in a stew. You should try the jambalaya at the Yard House and Cheesecake Factory. I just had some grilled shrimp a few days before at Double Bull, those were great. These fried shrimp were just okay. I’m writing this review the day after, and I can’t remember what they tasted like. You would think that frying should taste better than grilling, but evidently that’s not the case here. I only remember the seaweed weirdly mixed in with shredded lettuce at the bottom. The cocktails were small and diluted. I had the Pineapple Painkiller and Strawberry Mule. Both were forgettable. The bread was dense, weird, and chewy. I thought they were gluten free, but apparently not. I’m afraid what the gluten free one would be like if the gluten one was this bad. The only thing I enjoyed was the Peanut Butter Thing dessert. The server was nice, but slow. Seemed overwhelmed and stressed with just 3 tables.

Parents, this place is a great spot to bring your kids for a meal and a sweet treat on the cheap! Of course, this means you'll hear that grating crying noise while here, but that is entirely to be expected of a joint geared towards families. Ice crea
