Overall, it was a decent hike on a holiday weekend (Veterans day weekend and Diwali). The weather was great, partly cloudy and 55 degrees outside which was manageable . The scramble was tricky due to a lot of leaves covering the rocks which made it a little dangerous so bring walking sticks and good hiking boots. The view at High point was my favorite. Beautiful views of New York City skyline. My least favorite of coming to this hike was not much parking options. Both parking lots full and about 6-7 spaces in each lot. However, since I traveled a hour and a half to commute from south east New Jersey I was excited to view such an amazing forest. I parked on the shoulder along with other cars ( no visible do not park signs or No Parking signs on the side of the road but still received a ticket) about 25 cars all had tickets on there cars when leaving and parking lot still full after a my 3 hour hike. I wish I saw the Waterfall trail but It was a difficult hike especially being two months pregnant. I might come back another time but no rush.

This is a great park there are many places for great views of NYC. While there are some challenging trails the good views can be reached by the majority of folks with all levels of hiking experience. The way the trails are laid out gives you a lot of options for doing pretty much any length hike you wanted. Arriving early is a must as many others have mentioned. Large bear ran right in front of us(15-20 yards) on blue trail near the stream. Exciting in a nervous kind of way. Bear was not aggressive in any way just digging around for food and went on his way.

Great hike with nice viewpoints, small waterfalls, and streams. Very rocky terrain. 1. Reach early - parking near the Weis center will fit only like around 15 cars. I reached at 8 on a Saturday and there were a couple of cars, but when I returned post noon, it was full and people waiting for others to leave 2. Loop trail - we took the loop starting with green passing the pool and then going to blue to wyanokie High Point. Continued on blue to Carris Hill. Did yellow and white to Chikahoki falls. Did blue to otter hole. Then, I joined the green to get back to the parking. Took us at least 5 hours 3. View points - wyanokie High Point is great. Good views of skyline. Chikahoki Falls is a cute small waterfall. Even in green trail, we have good view points which are not named in the maps 4. Elevation and hardness - we felt it hard, especially because it's very rocky. Some areas are not very shady. 5. Wildlife - many people told us about two bears near the stream. But we didn't see.

Rocky terrain with noticeable elevation & of course downhills. Hiking poles would be useful here. The view is nice at the high point (green to blue trail if you're starting out from the Snake Den Rd parking lot.)

We had a great hike. Beautiful view of New York skyline in the distance. Wyanokie High Point loop. Gained some decent vertical for a day trip but didn’t have to scramble or put hand to rock. Parking lot was packed but luckily the upper lot was open. Do it!

Great hike today. Not too crowded. Hi Point was the best part of the hike. It had great views. Trails are clearly marked. Free parking for about 25 to 30 cars at the New Weis center.

One of my favorite places to hike. So many different trails with all levels of ability.

Beautiful park but finding the parking lots/place to park was difficult. The hike itself was extremely well marked on trees and rocks. The views are magnificent too! I would recommend coming early to find parking because there's nothing that really tells you that information.

What a beautiful place to visit or have an event. Although the event would have to be held in the Skyland Manor itself, I would highly recommend visiting both the botanical gardens and the manor itself.
