THE BEST!!! Hands down the most relaxing, cozy vacation I’ve ever had because of our stay here. We’re already planning our trip back next year. Location is great, not too far of a drive from a lot of the beauties the UP has to offer. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely loved staying here in September 2023. The owners were very kind and the Fox cabin was very cozy. We did get in really late and cell service was an issue, but other then that we had no issues. Would love to come back here and spend a few days just at the lake and at the cabin, we spend most of our stay visiting Pictured Rocks. PS. They do sell firewood on-site! We weren't sure if they did or not, so grabbed some ahead of the trip. Found out later they had a better deal then the gas stations.

Had a wonderful stay ! This place is great. Rented a cabin in January 2024. It was beautiful and very clean. Can’t wait to go back in the summer.

If you're thinking about renting with Northwoods resort, do it. Plain and simple. There's a reason they have nearly a 5 star rating - the business, locations and service are all great. My family has been renting from them once a year since 2017 and we plan to continue well into the future; our yearly trip to the UP is a staple. Northwoods has a really good selection of cabins and properties to rent, in Au Train and in Munising proper. They're reasonably priced, comparable to other cabin rental agencies in the area, and their customer service has been great. One year they accidentally double booked a cabin and they upgraded us to a better one while honoring the original price. They're easy to work with and respond to concerns quickly - one of our cabins didn't have a high chair for our child; I texted the customer service number (I believe it was Erin who addressed our request) and the agency had a highchair sent over in less than an hour. The only minor complaint we have is that some of the rental properties are a little dated and need renovation. Otherwise, everything has been comfortable and well-appointed. The pillows on the beds are pretty garbage but we always travel with our own anyway so that's a moot point. My wife and I have come up to Munising by ourselves. We've brought friends up to stay with us. We already have plans to come up next year with family. When my coworkers ask where I'm going on vacation I make a point of telling them about the resort. I can't recommend them highly enough and they'll continue to get our business every year

Location was great except that we had to go through a whole night without heat. Pre-check on the working of these equipment would have made our stay fully satisfactory.

This was an awesome family vacation destination! We would not hesitate to stay here again and actually booked already for next year! Northwoods was so welcoming, accommodating and professional! The properties that we stayed also felt very safe and well-maintained. My husband and son also decided to kayak and Erin was more than willing to share her own expertise on options to go and which pads for easy, moderate or slightly difficult depending on their comfort.

The Northwoods Resort is absolute heaven! Our cabin was impeccably clean, and absolutely beautiful. We could tell it was going to be lovely from the pictures, but it was even nicer than we imagined when we arrived! The view was gorgeous and we had everything we could need. Our host, Erin, is friendly and has thought of everything! We can’t wait to return to paradise.

Stayed in the yurt and it was very comfortable. It's pretty much like renting a cabin without an attached bathroom. It's a really good value if you're used to camping but don't want to deal with the hassle of packing in all your gear
