Stopped here today, what a great experience. Our docent, Larry, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. So much to see we will have to visit again. Look forward to taking family on this excursion.
Love the trail and stream nearby
It was closed when we were there but then outside displays were great and they had a lot of information ready.
Very cool place with a lot of working 19th century mining equipment. Gary the docent was very informative and ran a lot of the machinery for us.
Very interesting place for those into mining history, the gents running it were great at explaining the history.
Small outside but overwhelming inside of what they have. Interesting things for kids and adults. They accept donation.
This local museum has always been a favorite of mine! Over the years the displays have become more educational and interactive. The doce t was very friendly and showed my son all the bells and whistles. I highly recommend this venue for homeschooling families during the pandemic, especially.
Love the mining museum & the efforts to keep mining history (what the West was built on) alive in Nevada County! The trail is really nice and great for strollers and family walks. It's unfortunate portions of the trail share space with the nearby water treatment facility and are regularly frequented by transients. The creek is beautiful and makes for a really peaceful walk but often garbage can be openly viewed from the trail which is really unfortunate :( Take the lower (dirt) trail for a chance to spy the old steam boiler(?) that washed away during a historic flood year and was deposited downstream in the middle of the creek! Down and out its around 1.4 miles so bring water for the kiddos and some comfortable shoes if taking the trail. Recently remodeled Cornish pump is back in action at the museum, stop in and check it out! Tons of really awesome history in this really cool old stone building. Great for the interested kids!

Loved this coffee shop and bakery! We walked in and the place smelt absolutely amazing. The customer service was great as she helped lead us through some of the fresh options just out of the oven and discussed some of the homemade syrups. Definitely

This is one of my favorite breakfast places! We had family in from out of town and met for breakfast/lunch - a party of 8. We were seated right away and served quickly. Half the group all ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Holy cow! They looked amaz
Phenomenal food and experience. Fresh pita bread is baked daily on the spot. Hands made falafel like you would expect in an authentic Mediterranean restaurant. A real gem in Grass Valley!
Seriously wonderful restaurant, I generally come here once a month, I would go more often if I could afford it. Compared to other sushi restaurants in the area they have a much more traditional style, which is to say they are often very light on the
