Northgate Apartments - Apartment building in Pocatello - 1500 Venture Way #101, USA

I love living here. I love that everyone loves my dog. Dog friendly is so important to me as a dog mom. Everyone in the office and in maintenance are so friendly and responsive when I have a need.

The apartments are fine, but the policy is appalling. Me and my partner lived there for 3 months with our dog. We would receive constant complaints against us for noise, specifically a dog barking. Our dog never barks, even when he is scared, the most he'll do is a whimper. Also, every apartment in our building had a dog. The worst would be when we would get complaints when we were out of town. Every Christmas me and my partner travel out of state to visit family. The period we lived at Northgate included the holidays. We still received complaints against us when we were physically not living in the apartments. We knew it was our neighbors making the constant noise. We would hear them argue loudly and various dogs would bark. Every neighbor we asked said it was the apartment next to us. But Northgate didn't investigate or offer us any recourse or rebuttal. We got several warnings with no way to combat them. Eventually we got a vacate or comply notice. They couldn't even deliver it to us discreetly. They posted to our door for the entire building to see, it was humiliating. So we decided we had had enough. Since we knew the complaints against us would never stop, we decided to move. We made a deal with Northgate to break our lease without paying any extra fees. It was out of the norm but they constantly reassured us it was acceptable. So once we moved, we thought Northgate was just an unpleasant stain behind us. We were wrong. They ended up charging us the rest of the rent for the duration of the lease. It totaled to $3000. Me and my partner were struggling college kids, so that much money really hurt us to lose. They lull you in with fancy renovations and a free pool and gym, but at the end of the day, it is still a predatory landlord in a predatory business.

Two days ago, I put in a work order because my bathroom sink was draining water very slowly. Two maintenance men came to my apartment within 24 hours of my request. They were friendly, courteous, and quickly unclogged the drain. I was very pleased with the result.

I can't say enough about Northgate. The management is amazing,attentive and professional. The maintenance department is incredible and on top of any issue more than quickly. I've never had better service and would recommend Northgate to anyone needing a quality and safe place to live.

I really like this place… and want to give it 5 stars, but I can hear literally anything that happens above me or below me — I can hear it all if you know what I’m saying. It’s almost like staying in a hotel because of how much you can hear from your neighbors lol. That is the only reason I’m giving this place a 3/5 star review. Besides that, the office staff are great and the amenities are nice, plus a good location. Just keep in mind if you are looking to lease an apartment here — I would suggest a 3rd floor unit.

I am not a tenant but my husband works as a leasing consultant there. These apartments are beautiful and have so many amazing amenities. There is a huge pool and hot tub, dog washing room, fitness center, clubhouse, etc. Internet is also included in the rent price. All the staff are so amazing and do their best to address any issues as quickly as possible. They are all friendly and love talking to the tenants. My husband has absolutely loved working for this company. They definitely take care of their employees and provide so many awesome benefits for working there.

My mind is blown with how easily this complex has made it to join their neighborhood. The application process was not only very thorough but very easy to go through, and the up-front fees are simply amazing considering the exorbitant fees other complexes charge. The value for the money is far beyond expectations with the most amenities I have ever seen, such as them covering the cost for water/sewage/trash AND providing internet for their residents. The elimination of these fees made the rent on par with other (nasty) apartments located in the area that charge lower rents but tack on completely unreasonable fees which make their rents almost as much as this complex for far lower value. I have never seen an apartment complex so well managed, so beautiful, and so caring for their residents. I don't know how long I will personally need an apartment, but however long it will be, it will be here. Thank you so much Northgate, you are unbelievably awesome!

I lived at Northgate in 2021 when I needed a clean, quite, safe home while recovering from major illness. Kira was awesome, she answered all my questions and was super helpful during the application process. PROS -The apartments are gorgeous! The amenities are awesome and the staff is really friendly, helpful and they respond quickly to requests. -Whenever I've asked staff to wear masks, they've been cool about it. -Maintenance is really good and they try to fix things super fast. I've never had to wait for help. -The soundproofing is great - I work from home and I couldn't even hear kids playing outside my window. -Northgate is all about creating a community and they're always asking for feedback from tenants. -Secure mail room-- its so nice not worrying about porch pirates CONS -The surprise administrative fee thankfully I had a warning before hand so it wasn't a shock but still, transparency is appreciated. -Concert noise can be loud enough to shake the buildings and warm ups last all day. If you work from home or have hyperacusis or audiogenic seizures, plan being off the property on those days. -I had a brand new unit, but saw a few subtle issues in the build I wouldn't have expected for the rental price. These are superficial, and don't cause problems few would notice. I'm sure if I had asked mantiance, they would fix them. None of these were deal breakers for me.
