So at the time I went, the best part of this "park" is the bridge with the view of Pine Flat Dam in the distance.
The park itself was closed. Even so, the amount of trash and broken glass littered about was disgusting.
The trail leading from the parking lot needed maintenance. Trees had fallen over at points making traversal impossible.
A pretty close Dam if you live in surrounding cities. I've always loved the views at night, very peaceful and relaxing. In the day you'll see a lot of fishing going on especially in the summer. You'll Also see people BBQ'in, swimming and overall enjoying themselves here. One of my favorite Fresno County spots just "cuz".
We love it here, only issue is the bathrooms aren't cleaned hourly or sometimes at all. And trash is all over. But otherwise so peaceful even in bipolar weather!!

Solo visit
Pros: you can see the dam, plenty of water flowing which is great for fishing. Parking is easy, and there is public restroom
Cons: not really a place for kids or to stay in the water. To enjoy the water recreationally it is better to go half mile south down the road, which is better suited for families looking for water fun
Beautiful place with nice scenery. Only bad thing I can say is the river is closed.
