Value for money was what we were looking for. Only being in town for 11 hours meant that we wanted somewhere to sleep quickly. This motel provided that. Sure, it's not pretty but you get what you pay for and this was all we needed. The gentleman at check in was friendly. Rooms were quite big.
Excellent location at an unbeatable price. This is definitely an old motel, but it is also a well-cared for one. Rooms are simple but do not disappoint. Clean carpets, comfortable beds, and rooms include mini fridge and microwave. WiFi was quite spotty in my room so don’t bank on it if you need to work online. Some light switches needed a little extra care to turn on and that sort of thing, but everything that matters is sound. We stayed 4 nights and would have happily stayed an extra week, but they were booked full. Owners and staff are helpful and kind people. Quiet spot with benches by the door to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Felt like a very safe area too. They are often booked full for the weekends, and it’s easy to understand why. Will definitely stay again and recommend to all my friends.
On arrival, the motel looked like a place that people live at long-term. We were afraid we had made a bad choice but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. For the price, the room had better amenities than expected: refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs, 2 queen beds. The room was quiet and easy to get to with convenient, at-door parking. The shower had great water pressure. Check-in was quick and courteous.|
Not too bad but the beds were not very clean. I found some sort of pill in one of them which was definitely concerning.
I Prefer everyone to Rent a Room at this Motel if you’re In Boston. Service is the bestest. Rooms are the cleanest. Location is absolute stunning. They got everything nearby. The Management is Kind Friendly and Helpful. I would suggest Everyone Visiting Boston or Northampton to go to this motel and NO where else.
Positive: The location was perfect for me since I was visiting a person at rockridge retirement home. Negative: ""
Stayed here for a college visit. The location is excellent: in a quiet neighborhood near a Coop store. The motel is a bit run-down. It clearly hasn't been updated or renovated in decades. But it's quiet, safe, and the owners are friendly. It's a good deal if you don't mind going without luxuries. We definitely enjoyed it more than Howard Johnson Motel, on the other side of the river, where we stayed before and which not only smelled horribly but was also more expensive.
We were nearly put off by the very dated-looking photos for this place, but very glad we booked as it exceeded our expectations. It was a bargain and a pleasant place to stay.||Great location for what we wanted. The walk into town was long (50-60 minutes to the town centre) but safe and very doable. Several decent supermarkets nearby. Lots of parking.||The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Air conditioning worked well (we did have one temporary problem, but a test/reset solved it) and was necessary in the heat. No issues with noise from neighbours or street. TV, fridge and microwave provided and worked. Enough sockets to charge phones etc, which was important during a long stay.||The one negative was that the wifi was so unreliable it was essentially useless. Fortunately the mobile phone signal was constant (and fast despite being weak) so we just used this and didn’t even raise the issue with management.
WOW! What a special and wonderful experience staying at Downton Valley. The home was beautifully and thoughtfully designed and the entire experience felt curated and yet truly relaxing. We felt so lucky to witness the stunning views, share the amazin
The gym is really nice and the range of equipment is great but some of the men that workout here are creepy, and will harass you when youâre trying to workout. If youâre a woman, you might get bothered by older men.
Jakeâs is the best brunch place in the area! Food is phenomenal, plenty of vegetarian options, and the atmosphere and service are always excellent. They always have creative specials and plenty of tried and true staples on the regular menu. The sof
My wife and I have been going for years. The fish chowder is some of the best out there. The fish specials are always super fresh. Paul and Elizabethâs never disappoints! Delicious food and great service. Keep doing what you do P&E !
I stopped in while visiting the area. The coffee is wonderful, and the apricot croissant was flaky & sweet without being overwhelming. The store does not have any restroom facilities therefore, no seating, but if youâre adventurous, you can stand a
Christmas is super busy for them, but the staff is friendly, and food is good ð even when the kitchen is backed up. But it's Christmas, so it's totally understandable. Just be sure to be kind and patient and tip your staff even if they are rushed
