A wildlife gem, 25 minutes outside Tallahassee. The staff is friendly and well educated about the animals, that they feature at the preserve. A great excursion for all ages. Reservations are required, and payment is due upon checking in. You can add personal encounters with lemurs, kangaroo, sloth, and /or anteater. The encounters are an additional fee, per animal that you choose. A morning tour, might be a better choice, as you walk around in the center, the sun exposure can be a bit much.

This place is in middle of nowhere. Trust the process, you’ll get there. We had great communication with reservation process as they do guided tours of 10. We went with variety of age groups there were 8 of us and it costs $240 with 2 encounters. It seemed a bit steep to pay $20 to feed 1/4 of an egg to anteater. I understand it goes towards conservation and the animals so it makes it ok. The guide was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions that came up. It’s a very small place with 95% outdoors. It was a cool experience overall.

Our family visited the North Florida Wildlife Center today and had a great time seeing and learning about the animals and conservation efforts. Jill was our guide and Scott did the animal encounters with our family. They were both awesome! It was educational for our entire family and definitely worth the extra money to interact with the lemurs and kangaroo. If you have the opportunity, definitely go visit!

Kyle was a great guide, especially for dealing with my toddler who was on mission to do his own thing. Loved seeing the kangaroo, anteater and raja the bird! Great little area It started raining and we were offered umbrellas for the duration of the tour. Wish we could have done an encounter but with the little guy acting up, we decided to hold off! What a great experience

Four year old's review: 6 stars! I liked the Great Horned Owl and I liked the anteater. I liked the regular owl too. Actually I loved everything. Haleigh was good. I love her.

Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We took our two young kids and she was so sweet with them. We did the Lemur encounter and our oldest had so much fun. They are also in the process of expanding. We will be going again for sure

This place is amazing! You can tell they really care about their animals and treat them like family. We have been twice (a year apart) and it was great to see their progress. We will be back! Please visit and support. Such a hidden gym in north Florida. My youngest is crazy about kangaroos and to be able to interact with one was perfect and a dream come true.
