North Creek Lake Park - Park in Montgomery Village - 20300 Aspenwood Ln, USA

Cute little lake-park. Lots of geese, some beavers, raccoons and birds live here. I'm gonna keep visiting since I just moved next to it. Great place to walk/run/exercise/chill in a clean, green area.

Nice little park in Montgomery Village, it has a 3/4 mile walking path around the lake and it's in a safe quiet neighborhood. Be careful of the geese there in the spring and fall, they can be a bit agressive at times, especially when nesting, there can also be hundreds of geese here. Regardless, it's a nice small park and a great place to walk your dogs

My wife and I walked around the lake. Very peaceful. Nice escape into nature. This time my wife noticed a trail into the woods at the far end of the lake. So off we go. It turns out that there's a nice little path through the CD woods. We didn't go as far as we could. Think it's part of the greenway and would probably connect up with Brink Road. Can't be sure. This trail was very similar to a wooded trail in the Kentlands that runs along Muddy Branch. After about a half mile, we doubled back and finished going around the lake. We've been in the Village since 1974. Fun to find something new.

There is a 3/4 mile asphalt path around the lake. Great for walking or running. There are geese, ducks, herons. Parking, picnic tables, benches, playground, trash cans. It is wheelchair accessible, but there are steep inclines on either end of the lake and you may need a push. There is also a lot of goose poop on the path, so you would not be able to avoid that in a wheelchair.

Single paved loop. Pavement is in good condition. A few benches. Flora surrounding the lake seems 'natural' for the area; basic. Fauna is geese, turtles, stone kind of koi (I assume, as they're difficult to see). Grass is well tended. Single mid sized basic playground. One small level 'field' for a game of catch. Lake itself looks gross with pond scum and fair amount of cans, trash.

Nice, not-well-known birding spot. Purple Martins are spring-time visitors. Lots of families and fishermen.

North Creek Lake, located within Montgomery Village, MD, is a peaceful recreation area, where you can view wildlife (including turtles) or birdwatch (including herons and geese), fish (including carp and bluegills), walk/jog the full radius of the lake, and also has a playground (swings and pirateship-themed play equipment) just off the corner of it. A Nature Center is also located at the other corner of it, which is used for various events and scout/group meetings throughout the year. The lake is surrounded by single family houses and townhouses, as well as visible from the main Montgomery Village avenue, with a connecting path to North Creek Community Center (available for rental space as well as features many community meetings and events throughout the year), Pool (new pool re-design to be completed Summer 2021), and lighted Tennis Courts, lighted Pickle Ball courts and a lighted Futsbal sport court with built in goals at each end, (completed during Fall 2020). One of the highlights of living in, or simply visiting Montgomery Village. A continued favorite of our family and a great way to get in some exercise in an outdoor space year-round.
