Has little **MAGIC**. No cozyness... too loud in all the wrong places. But.... way better than last year! Ambiance, people, AMBIANCE!!

It's good to have such a unique festival event in Minot again! The prices are a little high but if you get the day pass with the concerts, it's usually a pretty decent deal. You have to go at least once!

I was excited to find a Scandinavian center in Minot. What a pleasant surprise! I have to come here once or twice a year, for work. I only wish the gift shop was open a little later (maybe til 6), but I suppose there wouldn't be many of us to take advantage of those hours in a relatively small city. Still, the park is excellent and I love the various buildings. Thanks!

2022 was a somewhat smaller Hostfest, but I think that was smart for a restart. Hostfest offered performers for all age groups, which is really nice. As the traditional crowd shrinks, this festival needs to build its future festival goers. But to me, what makes the festival the best is the traditional foods of the Scandinavians that settled in the northern plains, the talented artisans, the many opportunities to interact with “modern” Scandinavians, and shop for many great products from great vendors. And… volunteering at the Hostfest really is fun. For a few hours of your time, you get in free! So grab a fun friend and have more cash for great Merch.

I parked at the Scandinavian park and had lunch with a friend. Norsk Hostfest has been cancelled again this year. It is a awesome event and if you're able to go in the future, please do. We are sister city to Sweden. The other 4 countries also join in and bring all their life style. You don't want to miss it. But for this year, it is cancelled. Sorry.
