Nordlig Motel - Motel in Chewelah - 101 W Grant Ave, USA

Great option to stay if skiing at 49! The owners were very friendly and even made us aware of a discount we could get. Rooms were well maintained and clean.

We stayed at the Nordlig Motel for 3 nights while visiting relatives near Springdale. For those visiting the nearby casino, this location would be perfect. You certainly can't beat the price. The hosts were cordial, the coffee was good, the rooms were clean and the beds were great. I suffer from hip and lower back pain, but slept very well while there.

This was our second time staying at the Nordlig. Last year we had two couples and liked it so much we scheduled a return stay when passing through Chewelah on our motorcycles. This year we brought 6 couples. Like last year, everything was spot on. Super clean rooms and walking distance to town. We requested rooms near each other and they were. The owner offered us rags to wipe our bikes down and a room we could play cards and watch TV together. Wonderful hospitality and as last year, everything was great. Great job Nordlig!!

A touch of homeyness in a small motel! Clean as a pin and a handmade quilt on the bed. Flowered sheets on a wonderful mattress was the crowning glory. Did I forget to mention the homemade muffins by the Mrs. with your morning coffee. We will definitely return when the opportunity arises.

The hotel makes an effort to be homey. The bed linens and towels are not your normal hotel white issue. Our bedspread was a patchwork quilt design, the sheets were flowered and the bath towels were like ones you would buy for home. Nice and fluffy. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to park our car right outside our room. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We were on the ground floor and were there when the hotel was full but we did not hear any noise from the other rooms.||Ice is available in the breakfast room in plastic rubbermaid-like tubs, already full of ice and sitting in the freezer, rather than an ice machine. The breakfast consists of GREAT TASTING coffee, orange juice, and three flavors of muffins that appear to be either home-made or made in a specialty bakery. They are not your normal Costco or mass-produced muffins. We were there mid-week and felt the hotel was a good value for the price.

Clean and comfortable mom and pop motel. Owners live on property and it shows. Yes it's a 70's vintage motel but the owners are doing well with what that have to work with. We came to ski 49 Degrees ski area on our way back from a Canadian vacation but we're hit but a big blinding snowstorm, so unfortunately had to get out quickly. Really liked the fact that they have wooden floors, much cleaner than carpet. Our room had two queen beds and was not cramped. Room has everything that we needed, mini fridge, microwave, TV, coffee maker, etc. Homemade muffins in the morning were tasty and coffee was hot. Would recommend and return if I had the opportunity to ski there again.More

A delightful find on our road trip around Western USA. The couple that own and run the motel are lovely and helpful and keep the rooms really tidy and cosy. Thank you x

The Nordlig Motel was wonderful. From the parking area to the bathroom, everything was clean, up to date and functional. I loved our stay and have already started planning our trip through Chewelah next year. We chose the Nordlig due to the positive reviews and could not wait to leave our review. We loved it. 2023- We loved our stay at the Nordlig enough last year we brought another four couples this year while passing through on our motorcycles. Same clean rooms and welcoming owner. We were offered rags to wipe our bikes down and a room where we could play cards and watch a large screen TV together. We walked to town for dinner and groceries. Great place to stay and very accommodating when traveling with a group. We will stay at the Nordlig next year as well!!
