One of the best dishes I’ve ever had was the bolognese here! Went here for my birthday and had a phenomenal time and experience. Food tasted extremely fresh and homemade. My friend and I tried the truffle fries which were unlike anything we’d ever had and were quite amazing. I went with the bolognese, which did absolutely not disappoint and my friend got the lobster ravioli which was rich in flavor! Both meals were very filling and we had plenty of leftovers, however we still ended up getting a tiramisu which was the cherry on top of the cake. Staff was great and food was exquisite. Would love to come back again.
5 star ++. Food was excellent esp the fresh truffle pasta , cod perfectly cooked. Service was very pleasant and professional. Short walk from the river walk in the Fairmount Hotel. Nice ambience, only negative-they need better ventilation for the kitchen as heavy cooking odor when you walk in.
Wow! Me and my husband celebrated our anniversary there. We got free champagne. The food was amazing and the service! I would say it is the best food I have eaten here in San Antonio. The chef knows how to work with flavors. The rooftop bar is also sooo beautiful!
Lovely experience. Cavolfiore dish was my favorite. The bolognese was bland. The other dishes were great. Beautiful inside. Hunter was very kind and friendly. Will definitely come back and try a different dish in future!
I had some doubts as hotel restaurants are not always the best we have seen. When we entered the lobby we knew that Nonna Osteria would be special. We were immediately and professionally greeted. The entrance to the restaurant is lined with wine bottles, in a very nice arrangement. The seating and decor is very well done. Our server was very great, professional and polite. The food was also outstanding and the dessert excellent as well. Five stars well deserved, we will be back!
You will start your meal with some Bread and Tamponade.Great drink options with a large wine list. All of the food was excellent and the portions were just right. Highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli or the Gnocchi. Don’t forget to finish your meal with dessert. The service was excellent!!! Hunter was great! This is a great place for a special occasion or just a night out. They have a lot of construction in the front but they have plenty of parking options
Our server was great, however it seems the cooks were not very enthusiastic. My husband’s steak was slightly undercooked, the fries were soggy, and the spinach was not seasoned enough. Which would have been forgivable if one of the cooks wasn’t on his phone in front of the dining room (it’s an open kitchen) for the majority of our meal. I did quite enjoy my bolognese however! The atmosphere was very nice and clean, but we did hear what we assumed to be children running upstairs in the hotel (not the restaurants fault though to be fair)
I had an absolutely amazing dining experience here. We are visiting from out of town and decided to have a upscale/fancy dinner. After looking through several downtown locations we decided on this place, based on the Italian cuisine and excellent pictures posted by other reviews. This restaurant did not disappoint! The location was very close to our downtown hotel, easy to walk to. It’s located in an old hotel and the bar is in the lobby, creating a very cool aesthetic. The interior decor was tasteful and inviting. We received kind and friendly service from the waitstaff and enjoyed the warm environment. The food - it was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We ordered a caprese salad and patate frite as appetizers, and then had carbonara and bolenese for the entrees. It was all prepared with much care and the flavor was delicious. We had dessert here as well - ordering the tiramisu and a double scoop of lemon sorbet and Mexican vanilla gelato (the gelato was AMAZING). Overall, I would highly recommend eating here for a nice, upscale dinner.

Fourth time here. We obviously always have a blast. Itâs a great activity for children and adults to play together. And as an adult, weâre having just as much fun as the kids. Parking is usually pretty easy too. Highly recommend!
