No. 1 BFTS Museum Inc. - Museum in Terrell - 119 Silent Wings Blvd, USA

Visited the museum as a destination on a family history tour. My dad trained there in Course 9. A wonderful museum in a somewhat obscure location. The museum and its associated WWII era history is a must see for any military history buff, and or aviation enthusiast. We spent three hours with two curators. I donated a couple related items to their collection. A must see for descendants of WWII aviators; British - Canadian and American. 5 GOLD Stars!

Been wanting to go there for about 4 years and finally made it. Very impressed. The displays are well done and numerous. A surprising amount of information. Starts with a 10 minute video with actual footage from the wartime training base and and the history. Entry is free, they operate on donations and whatever you might purchase from the gift shop. I strongly recommend a visit.

Definitely a drive out of DFW but well worth it! The staff is super friendly and Rudy was very informative and welcoming! I just assumed it was “just another plane museum” but turned out to be so much more. Will return!

Who knew? Before and during WWII, the Royal Air Force trained pilots all over the US. The very first school (hence the name) was right here in Terrell. Beautiful little museum. Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into maintaining this aspect of the "special relationship" between the UK and the US. Well done!

This museum introduces the history of the pilot training school during World War II. Thank them for their hard work to protect this history. Every hero should be remembered.

A very interesting and well displayed collection of information and artifacts from a little known part of WW II. An amazing amount of material about the students and instructors of this school.

Went to an air show here and had a lot of fun. Great group of knowledgeable people! The museum itself is pretty impressive. They have displays from several time periods and it’s definitely worth visiting.

A well done, informative and interesting small museum. Only wish they can obtain some planes in the future.
