Great restaurant! My first visit here in Waco was unexpectedly awesome. It was during New Years Eve to the new year 2024. After such a fun night, my FO n FA2 decided to stop by Ninfa's for some good Mexican food. So glad we came here! Everything from walking through the door to a clean, large/ open and welcoming environment, to being greeted and escorted to our booth, to the introduction of our accommodating and fun server, to the amazing flavors and food options to the fair prices not to forget the frozen margaritas among other things was absolutely appreciated. Our waiter provided great customer service, and he was very helpful and informative to me and my fellow crew members who had never been here before. The restaurant served some great tortilla chips and salsa upon arrival. I ordered the lump crab burrito dish along with a bowl of Ninfa's soup, and surprisingly, it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to stop by and try out the other great food item options they had. Definitely recommend stopping by here and trying out what this restaurant has to offer. Mahalo (Thank you) Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant staff and Management can't wait till my next visit. I'm gonna order the same thing I did, but gonna make it a priority to try your dessert item banana empanada 🤗

Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant in Waco offers an enchanting culinary adventure into the world of authentic Mexican cuisine. Conveniently located at 220 S 3rd St, this restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal choice for any occasion, be it casual or special. The menu pays homage to the rich culinary heritage established by 'Mama' Ninfa Rodriguez Laurenzo in 1973, and her legacy of warmth and quality shines through every dish served here. One standout dish that left a lasting impression on me was the crawfish enchiladas. Despite my initial skepticism about seafood in enchiladas, I was pleasantly surprised by their exceptional flavor. It was truly one of the best I've ever had. The innovative combination of crawfish with traditional Mexican flavors is a culinary marvel that should not be missed when visiting Waco. For those seeking variety, the spinach enchiladas and brisket enchiladas with BBQ dipping sauce are also highly recommended. The spinach enchiladas, in particular, offer a fresh and delightful twist to the traditional dish, making it perfect for a light supper or a hearty meal. Ninfa's goes above and beyond to cater to various dietary needs, offering a range of vegetarian and vegan options. They ensure that everyone at the table can indulge in something delicious and satisfying. Don't miss out on the charro beans and refreshing sweet tea, as they complement the dining experience with their distinct and delightful flavors. Special mention must be made of the delectable green salsa served here. Its perfectly balanced flavors add an extra zing to every bite. Whether you're a local or just passing through Waco, Ninfa's is a culinary destination that promises an authentic Mexican dining experience. Immerse yourself in its warm ambiance and savor dishes that are not only innovative but also deeply rooted in tradition.

While traveling for work I had the chance to stop by this beautiful Mexican restaurant in Waco. Not Tex-Mex but Mexican. We had a great time, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. I noticed the use a multi-server system where there are several people checking on you as you dine. Excellent experience, I am certainly going to drop in the next time I am in Waco.

After a chilly day walking around Waco, drinks and desserts were in order. Coffee and Empanyada dessert with a side of good service made this cheerful place the perfect choice. I don't drink, but the rest of my party indulged with some fancy frosty colorful drinks that did just the trick to make them forget all the walking they did.

It's a pretty restaurant, it has some beautiful murals and feels both rustic and more upscale than most tex mex restaurants. The food is pretty good, I've never been in love with tex mex, but it's on the better end of the category. The service was good. The restaurant is really pretty large, there is a private area for large groups. The wait staff came by a reasonable amount of time to check on us, and were friendly.

Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant was very ordinary. Typical Mexican food you could get in Wisconsin or Ohio or anyplace. Though they had a lot of employees standing around in a nearly full restaurant there didn't seem to be a lot of working going on. Our server was nice enough but forgot stuff, simple stuff like a soup spoon and a glass of ice water and a beer. I ordered the George which is a chicken flauta and a cheese enchilada that came with guacamole, sour cream, and your typical refried beans and rice. Nothing on my plate was seasoned and the chicken was over cooked. The oddest thing was hidden under the guacamole and sour cream was a small pile of shredded lettuce. This made the two appear to be more than was actually there. The restaurant itself is a huge and loud cavern which seems to be a trend right now. In the end. Just okay.

Ninfa’s has been a favorite of my family ever since it opened in Waco about 20 years ago. We don’t live there anymore, but stop by when we are in town. Pachuga Alfonso is my go to. I don’t think of it as typical Mexican food. But wow, soooo good. I highly recommend it! It’s a HUGE portion that easily feeds two people.
