I tried to order a gyro. The lady cautioned that it could take 40 minutes. I was stunned. She then asked if I wanted just the sandwich or the “gyro plate”. With no description of the difference on either the menu or forthcoming from the woman taking my order and the only advertised difference being the price point, I assumed that one was just a sandwich and the so-called plate was the sandwich with fries and a salad or something. It felt like a reasonable assumption since there are no descriptions of ANYTHING here. I was hungry so decided to wait for the plate. Eventually, a plate with a small salad, 4 quarters of a pita and kebab/skewer things was placed in front of me. See my photo. I tried the meat skewer and didn’t like it. I was ready to cry. I JUST wanted a gyro. A regular gyro like you find served all over the place. Sliced meat with tomato, onions and tzatziki sauce IN a pita. I was not going to wait another 40 minutes for something new. They at least refunded the dish. Village Pizza, your menu needs descriptions!!! My husband’s calzone was good and salvaged the situation. Their tomato sauce isn’t as good as it used to be though.
The food was amazing! I've been eating there for more than 20 years! I don't live in the area, I'm from Upstate NY. I so look forward to visiting our season home in Unity because every time we make our trip, we stop at Village Pizza. Thank you for always being so consistent with the quality of your food and atmosphere, I just miss the old Metal Slug game cabinet that used to be there. Thank you Village Pizza, for many years of great memories and great service!
Village pizza was very tasty, we ordered a large veggie pizza and a veggie sub. Both food dishes were delishes. The place was a little busy, however it was clean and fast service. The pizza reminded me of a new York style pizza. I believe they mentioned the dough is made fresh daily and never frozen. The employees were very nice and sweet.
I have been going to village pizza since I can remember probably over 30 years. Not once have I ever been disappointed. The owner is amazing and so kind. They aim to please . And quality it's just as great as service. Highly highly recommend if in Newport going to village pizza you won't be disappointed!!
parts of the pizza tasted a bit raw but for the most part, the pizza was well cooked and the crust is crunchy with a good amount of warm dough in it. nice facility and conveniently located on main street. 30 minute detour from 89. employees are not required to wear masks. not very safe, although they do have screens in place at the register.
The pizza was amazing. Best pizza I have had since I have been in NH.
This is a family owned business with a lot of faithful customers. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I've never had a bad experience. It's not fancy, but it's consistent and it's nice to see familiar faces. The owner is an extremely hard worker who puts in as much work behind the counter as any other employee, far more actually. The place is always clean and organized. Food is always hot and delicious. They also have sn amazing unique cheeseburger pizza. It's got everything a cheeseburger has, including pickles. You have to try it if you're a burger/pizza fan.
This has been a favorite since my family moved to Newport when I was 4. Now my kids love it, too. They are incredibly busy but work so very hard to ensure everyone is happy and taken care of. I don't mind waiting a little longer for our food because it is always so delicious! The staff are wonderful and friendly! Highly recommend chicken parm dinner with their house dressing, all pizzas, and the metball sub.
We LOVE this Mexican restaurant! From the outside it doesnât look like much.. looks are deceiving in this case as this restaurant is authentic Mexican cuisine & one of the best weâve been to.. Weâve eaten here a few times now & each time we are
This was a great dining experience. There was no wait for a Friday afternoon. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and professional. The bartender is nice but has a very loud talking voice. So much so that I know she wasn't try
Was lucky enough to be going through town on St Patrick's day. My son and I both got the fish and chips and it was amazing! Don't usually get fish that good without going to the seacoast. Good size serving and more fries than I could eat and the cole
