I certainly enjoyed my stay! Yes, they are completing renovations, and I think that’s great as it will be fabulous once completed. Everyone was friendly. Such a nice and relaxing getaway in a quieter part of Miami. Beachfront, nice pool, and close to local, authentic restaurants if you choose to venture out. I plan to come back!

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and the bed was soft. Room service was prompt and the bellman was very helpful. The hotel was renovating so at times that was off putting. The spa was nice but I felt like the masseuse rushed through my massage and didn’t really focus on my points of concern. My toilet would also “whine” at certain points and that was aggravating. Other than that, I had an enjoyable stay.

The moment I walked in it felt as if front desk didn’t want to be there. Up until the moment Adam greeted me it was a complete 180. Valet was a problem and it felt like front desk wasn’t there to exactly help. when I got to the pool I heard the construction. Was not warned, I was very unhappy about that. What I will say is the pool supervisor Anthony made the entire day well worth the money that was spent. He did everything in his power to try and name things right and did his best to accommodate where there was lack thereof. He needs a pay raise! He did all the little things. The service from Amanda and Anthony S the server was all immaculate. All 3 deserve recognition but Anthony r stole the show. The beach was also good aside from having to spend the money on extra chairs

I haven’t been at the Newport in over 5 years. I did not expect it to be what it was. I picked a weird day to come in and enjoy the pool, as it was on and off rain with few sunshine. But between the conversations I had with Anthony and Brian were lovely to have. Both very sweet young men. Maglio had expertlike knowledge of the liquor selection. Although I couldn’t enjoy the pool with my family those 3 made the day worth the money being spent. Last note Adam was very helpful at the front desk as well.

Hotel is very old. Updating common areas during our stay. The pool and beach are beautiful. The downfall is that the bar at the pool(only bar) closes so early. 10 pm they are kicking people out. Such an expensive stay for the minimum amenities they have here. Location is okay. I think next time we will go closer to south Miami. Not impressed with the customer service or amenities here.

For our 4 day stay here we had a double room apartment to sleep a family of 5. The apartment was much too small with the tiniest bathroom. Also no balconies unless you upgrade for an extortionate amount of money meaning you only have windows, that don't open, looking out. The apartment is supplied with a kitchen sink, fridge and microwave but very strangely you are not supplied with a single cup, glass or piece of cutlery. When we asked for some crockery we were given some paper cups, we took a plastic knife from the cafe. On arrival early evening on our floor, we spotted the bin completely overflowing (see photo). So many areas of the hotel are weathered and worn and look very tired. The room key system of key cards breaks almost every day, so you have to go down to the reception and get the card reactivated. On one occasion this happened in the early hours of the morning, when we went down we found the reception completely unmanned. When my wife went behind the desk to try and find somebody, a security guard appeared and frog marched her out shouting abuse. He wasn't willing to talk and wouldn't let my wife explain, and was completely unprofessional, still hurling abuse as she entered the lift to go back up to the room. When my wife returned and did manage to find the reception staff, they were very apologetic on behalf of the security guard and the next morning offered a gesture of apology which was a refund of the resort tax. (this has still not appeared in my bank after a week so I am having to chase. Finally received over 2 weeks later after having to speak to the reception desk manager and him having to investigate the case again. Received all x4 days of resort tax back). A massive downfall is that as soon as the bar closes, the swimming pool area is completely out of bounds, meaning you can't use the chairs or any of the furniture around it to sit and chat or finish your drink (we were informed of this by the same irate security guard). If you go down to the beach at night then the return gate is locked and you have to make your way all the way around to the front of the building to get back in. Beds and seating around the swimming pool are incredibly limited, there are the same amount nearer the beach end of the pool however they are all reserved/cordoned off and I was quoted $125 for a bed, chair and parasol. When I commented that this was extortionate the pool attendant immediately dropped it down to $85! The only car park that is available is opposite the hotel on an area of wasteland next to a petrol station. The hotel charges $25 a night for this privilege. It is not a great location unless you have a car and are willing to drive up to 6 miles to some of the more tourist areas. With all this said it really is a shame as the hotel could be quite nice as it has all the potential. Due to all of the above we would not return.

The only complete we would have is if the rooms are older, and the rugs in the hallways are rundown, but otherwise this place was a fantastic deal for the price. The pool was right on the beach and the music was fantastic during the day. They had awesome coffee shop in the morning where we can get empanadas and lattes. Lunch at the pool was fantastic too!! And we love proximity to the beach!! we would stay Again There in a heartbeat

Got a day pass to use the pool for the day. Noelia treated us like royalty. Got a shady spot just between the pool and beach. Drinks and food brought straight to us. Felt like a baller all day for only $50. Best day ever and not too pricey. Would recommend 1000%

Lula Kebab Beef is what did it for me. It's a Sesame-breaded Cutlet stuffed with homemade ground beef infused with cheese. Of course you need this meal to be served with the highest regards from Katarina! Thank you and we will be back for more 😋
