Stayed here for a weekend getaway on weekend of July 6 this hotel is centrally located in the middle of everything which makes getting to most places walkable, place had alot of charm and character. Rooms are exceptionally clean, and maintenance staff does a good job maintaining them considering age of this place. Management and staff are what makes this place, all very polite and ready to assist you. If you are going to be staying in Newport in the near future this is a GREAT pick for a home away from home with great location!
Excellent location in Newport, R.I. Actually hotel was better than expected although previous read reviews were good. We stayed there 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were very friendly and Paula was especially helpful. The room we had was a king suite. It had a very large living area with a kitchen and table. The kitchen was very well furnished except we did not notice the keurig came with coffee (it was in a drawer)until after we went a purchased some. The room was a queen and comfortable. The only problem we had was the Saturday night crowd was loud as the hotel sits directly in the middle of restaurants, bars, and action at night. But it finally quieted down and the next two nights were perfect. One special restaurant I recommend is The Mooring Seafood. Don’t miss.
Wondserful location - right in the middle of all the hussle and bussle of a busy wharf! We found that 3 nights were enough to see Newport and most of the surrounding area. LOTS of restaurants with great food and reasonable prices.||The bed was very comfortable, but the furniture was dated, the outdoor furniture was not clean and in very poor condition. Our 2 bedroom unit (sleeps 6) only had a mini fridge (no freezer). There is a toaster, keurig coffee machine with pods (no kettle in room or at the front desk), a microwave, and a dishwasher - no stove top.
Was amazed by the design of the hotel. Old whare house converted to hotel. Our room was two stores. With stairs leading to the sleeping area. The downstairs had a cozy kitchen with everything you would need for an extended visit. Both upper and lower areas had sliding doors for balcony sitting or lounging out in the sun. High walls provided privacy and space. Sea gulls entertainment was abundant.
Spacious one-room suite with kitchenette. Ideally located but still overpriced especially when you have to pay an extra $30 to park in their lot. You use your room key card to enter the lot so it's like, who else is going to park here except guests??? Walk-in shower looked nice but my husband found a hair tie - WITH HAIR - in it.
The room was very clean and well appointed. Microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher were all clean and in working order and there was enough Utensils and dishware for up to four people. This was far better than I expected. Many shops and restaurants are within a short walk as are Aquarium and the Sailor Museum
Great location. The room was very clean and large for a 2 bedroom. Housekeeping came in to tidy up the room during the stay which is great. Will visit again!
Nice stay! We rented a unit for the Newport Jazz Festival and it was a perfect location! Coming again this year!
Stayed here for our 1 night getaway to Newport. We stayed in the Cottage room and it was nicely private, clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were are very pleasant and hospitable. The location makes you feel like youâr
