They did one small job for me it was pretty good. I asked them later for a quote to upgrade my service from 100AMP to 200AMP. They sent an electrician out to look at my situation he said it wasn't bad and took a bunch of pictures and said he would work up a quote. 2 weeks later I call the office to follow up and the lady who answers the phone tells me they were waiting for me and I was wasting their time. She says my situation was extremely complicated ans they were going to have to move the main power line and run conduit and yada yada she was very rude. She said they didn't even finish the quote but it would be over 7k. I hired another company to do the service upgrade, the didn't have to do anything complicated and it cost 4k. I feel like the office and the electrician didn't talk at all and she just wanted to give me a "Go away price".
EDIT: Definitely have the right contractor you wired my hot water heater and then dropped the ball for the service upgrade.
It took 2 men, about 5 hours to get my hot tub hooked up. They charged me over 1100 dollars. The worst part was they put in a 110 volt , plug and outlet. I needed a 220 plug and outlet. They wanted 3,000 to come back to fix it. I would not recommend as they over charge and do not back up their work.
Following up, you should have went over the options with me. The parts to fix the job, are approximately 300 dollars. I have someone else doing it. 3000 is excessive money for this job. I wish your company well but you ought to make things more reasonable.
We have hired this company in the past. We are still trying to figure out how they put 4 outlets on one side of our hallway, and only 2️⃣ on the other side! Not only does this not fit our needs, it makes no sense! We tried to discuss this with them, but they seemed unable to comprehend what we were talking about! We have had some other, not so great experiences with them, also.
My experience they overcharge and the electric outlet was there they just had to put a new box with the plug outlet...the motion lights electric was there and just put motion bulbs that don't work right. Be aware of these people
I had a great experience with Fernando, who came out to upgrade our house to 200 amps, add recessed lighting in two bedrooms, and add some outlets. I liked Fernando because he was a clear communicator and answered my questions about our new house and helped me get a sense of how much time/money each task would take before we started. He is a great problem solver and thinks carefully about each task, which I'm sure reduces the number of mistakes or surprises. Would use again.
Just wanted to thank Phil and April at Newington Electric for helping us out this past Tuesday morning.
Power went out on my elderly mother's home and her generator kicked on as usual. When power was restored to the grid, the generator turned off, but no electricity to the home. EverSourse came and determined the house had power going to it and the issue was with the transfer switch.
Called the Emergency number, which directed us to the team at Newington Electric. April directed me how to turn on the generator manually, so Mom could have power until the tech arrived. Phil personally came out and determined a small issue with the switch and mom was back on the grid in a few minutes.
All these events took place between 4 and 6am, mind you!
I'm so glad we had them install and commision mom's generator. Top notch people, who actually care for their customers!
Thanks again Newington Electric!!
Very professional, we had rain water pouring in from our fuse panel box. They were able to temporarily fix the problem on a Friday and did major repair work on Monday. A lot of stuff on my house out lived it's time and they brought everything back up to modern time. The electricians were excellent and very professional and April in the office was excellent also, she was able to help us with financing. All around a great experience. I would definitely call and recommend.
They dismissed me when I called at night, told me no one could come, (we had no heat in 35 degree weather) for my electric going out, sent someone in the morning who took 7 hours and charged over $700.00 to tell me the electric is fine, it's a (very obvious to him) disconnection at the pole, it took 7 hours to find.? Really? If everything looked fine for 7 hours, it took that long to look outside? Seriously, over 7 hours and over 700.00 $ to say electric inside is fine, you are disconnected outside. And then I had to request an appropriate receipt which states nothing was done!! Beware people!!!
Omg I absolutely love this place! Their boba is amazing!! The quality is so good!! My favorite is the Brown Sugar Boba. It never misses. The sausage is also really good. The staff are so polite! I tried boba from another place and it could not compar
