I had to come to California for one of the best Calzones I’ve ever eaten. Place has an awesome atmosphere and the owner is very supportive of our troops and public safety personnel. If I ever make it back to this part of California, I will definitely be back for another meal.

I ordered two large pizza for take out. Employees were nice can’t comment much about employees. It took longer than 30 minutes by the time i picked up the pizza. After getting home 10 minutes later kids waiting with plates in their hand Excited we lifted the lid, i got surprised by looking at the pepperoni, Mushrooms and Green peppers. Maybe 10 pepperonis, few slices of mushrooms and Invisible green pepper 😅. The other pizza Canadian bacon, Pineapple and mushrooms. Same quality as the. other. After working in pizza restaurant few years during college, I kind of know to make pizza FYI.

Never again, NYPD Corona! Ever time we go here, we say, "Never again!" This time was the last straw, we mean it. We want to like you, we tried, but we are always so disappointed. Never again! Expensive, tiny portions and we really think it is just reheated frozen food. This calzone was 20 bucks. Does this look like it is worth 20 bucks? Or, does it look like a one dollar Hot Pocket? (see photo) Actually, that is an insult to Hot Pockets. A Hot Pocket is better.

Note: The thick crust was very good but they are definitely very miserly with the amount of topping they use. Pizza is not just about the crust! The crust and toppings must be in alignment. Plus the pizza was burned. The thin crust was very old, chewy, and dry. It was old crust that was not discarded. The service is “slyly rude, questionable, and uncoordinated.” The salad had less than a dime size of lunch meat and very little chopped olives, cheese etc. . The salad was not worth the money. Very abysmal, mediocre, and strange service. They have so much potential. They have to be more serious about their food.

We’ve been going here for 10+ years. Best pizza and most authentic tasting New York style pizza. Great service and friendly staff, too. Highly recommend if you’re a pizza lover. You won’t regret it.

Hit and miss after 1 visit. The service was friendly but there was room for improvement. The chicken parmesan was plentiful but uninteresting. And for $19 for the plate, I was slightly surprised to be served parmesan cheese in packets. The pizza was good, and the Buffalo wings were nice and crispy, but a $15 order comes with 8 pieces, which is slightly disappointing. The salad was large, fresh, and crisp, but I had to ask for a bowl to eat it on because the service plate was too small for the portion. At time of ordering, we asked for a pizza to go, in addition to our table-service items, but the server forgot to put in the to-go portion of the order, causing us to have to wait an extra 15 minutes, which isn't the end of the world, but then he (very obviously) lied to us about it. I mean, I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but don't BS me. The parking lot is accessible, with van parking and ramps, and the restaurant is a little cramped for a wheelchair, but would accommodate one. There was enough potential here that I'll give them another try, but there was definitely room for improvement on this visit.

I drove here from quite a ways away on a recommendation. I ordered ahead and was told it should take 20-25 minutes for my pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. I arrived there around 30 minutes later and was told they were really busy and it would another 5 minutes for my food to be ready. I ended up waiting another 30 minutes and during that time they had 3 tables eating in and two pickup orders which doesn't seem all that busy to me. After half an hour my food was brought up but they forgot to put the toppings on the pizza. They asked if I would like them to put it on. Well obviously since I ordered and paid for it. They said it would take only 2 more minutes and after 10 minutes I finally got my food. The server working the front counter was very nice and apologetic about the whole ordeal at least. The in store experience wasn't great but at least if the food is good, I guess it makes up for it. The food wasn't good though. The pizza was ok but kind of dry, almost like there isn't any sauce. I tried a slice of pepperoni and it was dripping with oil. The spaghetti and meatballs were by far the worst, absolutely horrible. The pasta was wet and the sauce watery with no real flavor. The meatballs almost made me throw up though, they taste like plain ground beef that was boiled. No flavor, no seasoning, nothing. And it didn't even come with garlic bread, just a piece of cold baguette. I'm disappointed I drove all the way here to try it but even if I lived right across the street, I still wouldn't be back. Maybe I just came in at a bad time or caught them on a bad day but it was so bad I'm not coming back to give them another chance.

I've eaten pizza all over the world, LA, SF, NY, London, Edinburgh, Rome... And seriously- the NYPD special at New York Pizza Department in Corona is deliciously AWESOME Pizza!!!! This place worthy of a visit if you love pizza!!!! There is something magical in the sauce that makes this loaded up pie my current go to every time I crave pizza. Small cozy dining room, friendly staff, big menue with classic Italian - American dishes, this local owned eatery is a must visit.
