I have nothing but amazing things to say about NHLC. It is a stunning venue and so unique with its art deco style. The food was delicious; we had nothing but compliments the entire night in regards to the service and staff. Christine and Karen are THE BEST. So incredibly helpful and truly know what they are doing; we had the best wedding and wouldn't change a thing. NHLC is above and beyond!

As a wedding photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing moments at The New Haven Lawn Club. I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The venue’s stunning architecture and attention to detail provided the PERFECT backdrop. The first thing that struck me was the venue’s architecture and elegant ambiance. Every part of the venue was thoughtfully & intentionally designed, from the grounds to the chandeliers in the ballroom. The ambiance provided a romantic, refined atmosphere, which directly reflected in the portraits. The venue’s staff was exceptional, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the event. They were attentive to the timeline of the day, professional with all guests & vendors, and went above and beyond. I can wholeheartedly recommend the New Haven Lawn Club to any couple looking for a breathtaking location to celebrate their special day. I can't even wait to be back!

My stay the New Haven Lawn Club on a family visit to Connecticut yielded a positive impression of the accommodations, hospitable staff, dining and recreation facilities. A 5-star private social club in the Platinum Clubs of America, it is situated on Whitney Avenue near the Yale University campus, and two blocks from Ingalls Rink (where we watched a hockey game) and State Street (home to Modern Apizza, our favorite in the pizza "Capital of the World"). The New Haven Lawn Club offers five comfortable, spacious overnight guest rooms and one suite, a main dining room seating 200, and a grand ballroom seating 300 that was being used for a wedding reception the night we stayed there. The fitness center and four squash courts are open 24x7. Outdoors, there is a pool, toddler pool, eight Hart-tru tennis courts, two paddle courts and a playground. Guests enjoy free parking and wifi. We enjoyed librations in the bar off the Grill Room, accommodating 100, where lunch and dinner are served Wednesday-Saturday,. A unique feature of the club is art exhibits hung in the rotunda outside the Grill Room. Rebuilt in 1931 after a fire destroyed the original two years earlier, the clubhouse was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It also is designated A New Haven Landmark by the New Haven Preservation Trust.

As a wedding professional and working in this industry now for about 10+ years I can tell you that we have worked with many venues across Connecticut and done hundreds of weddings all over the place. New Haven Lawn Club is one of our favorite venues to work with. Christine and Karen are both amazing to work with and they go above and beyond to make sure you're taking care of and the entire staff is super helpful. The grounds are so well cared for and maintained and the venue itself is beyond beautiful. If you're a couple who is considering getting married here I will tell you that you will not be disappointed. We highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After we were engaged NYE 2020, we started the process of finding a venue for our wedding and although I did not know of the Lawn Club prior to all my research, we fell in love as soon as we found it! The photos were so enchanting and reviews so unanimously positive, that the only place we actually toured was the Lawn Club - we signed the contract at the end of the tour and it was the best decision we made! Everything you have read about the Lawn Club is true, it is a beautiful, unique all-inclusive venue with an amazing candlelit Art Deco feel. We did both ceremony and reception at the Lawn Club and utilized the bridal suite to get ready… such a big, beautiful room, I loved it! Throughout the Lawn Club grounds, there’s so many unique spots for photos, we had such a fun time exploring with our photographers and the photos are stunning! Our guests were blown away by the venue, food, and the service! No one had to wait for bar service at any point throughout the night. There’s so many small details that make a wedding at the lawn club stand out. First, during the ceremony, the blinds on all the windows are down and the room is filled with dreamy candlelight, and as the bride enters the room and walks down the aisle, the curtains are raised to let the sunlight in - so heavenly! Second, once the ballroom is set up prior to the reception, Christine found my husband and I and brought us into the ballroom is take in the whole setup prior to any guests entering - such a special quiet moment that the two of us were able to share! If it wasn’t already clear, the shining star of the venue is that it comes with Christine… she runs all on-site coordination and was such a pleasure to work with (I could not have done it without here). We postponed out 2020 wedding to 2021 and it was such a smooth process and I was so thankful for that, as it was already a stressful time! She is insanely organized, so helpful, and was there day-of to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her and her team also do ALL setup and breakdown at the end of the night and I was able to take in every single aspect of the day, instead of running around setting things up! It goes without saying, but the wedding would not have been as perfect if it wasn’t for Christine! Don’t wait, book the Lawn Club, it is stunning!!

We can’t thank Karen and Christine enough for helping us through the entire process and execution of our spectacular wedding day. Everything was perfect. You two were a godsend through countless questions, viewings, drop offs, and even day of coordination. To the kitchen waitstaff and bartenders and everyone in between. Everyone loved their meals and their service Thank you so much to this amazing team. Thank you for making our wedding day the best of our lives! We knew from the moment we booked with the lawn club that we were in great hands. After having to change the date of our fall wedding to a winter wedding, we were so excited to see what the decorations would look like, knowing the venue gets a full facelift for the holidays. Leading up to the day of the wedding we got to see sneak peaks when we dropped off our things, but getting a personal sneak peek of the ballroom during cocktail hour was the icing on the cake. Where do we begin! From day one the team Christine and Karen truly helped us every step of the way, we couldn’t have had our dream wedding without you! The lawn club as a venue for our getting ready, first look, ceremony to cocktail hour, and for our reception was absolutely perfect! Pictures were stunning! Could not believe how perfectly everything flowed. The team there could only be described as always 10 steps ahead, and the team there is what truly make it’s a top venue! I can certainly attest to its clear high ratings across multiple wedding sites. The catering was delicious, the enhancements, passed hors d'oeuvres and dinner menu was so diverse every guest left very very happy..especially us! The team was the glue that held everything together including all of the vendors. Could not thank the team enough, it’s so refreshing to be helped by such passionate professional team members like the lawn club team ! Recommend x million !

Two of my siblings have gotten married at the New Haven Lawn Club. Both were amazing experiences. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a more upscale venue. One sibling also had the ceremony on site which was beautiful as well. Food and service were great!
