What a lovely place. Beautiful nature, great volunteers and it's free to visit! Especially love the Japanese garden. A must visit while in town!

My first visit in the fall was lovely, not too crowded. Beautiful gardens, the Japanese garden in the back was peaceful & I smelled a heavenly scent, couldn't find where it was coming from. The koi pond was gorgeous. The pretty camellias were in bloom. I plan on a visit in the spring to see what else blooms there.

We did a day trip to Wilmington and this was on our list of things to do. It wasn’t as expansive as we thought it would be, but it was very picturesque and well maintained (and free admission :) ….plus great photo ops for sure!

My mom and I were in the Wilmington area today looking for things to do, and as a result I'm so happy I came across this place! I read a couple reviews beforehand and was delighted to know that there is free admission here. They have a cute gift shop as well. This arboretum is one of the first I've been to, so it was a great experience strolling through the park, and taking in all the beautiful flowers, plants and scenery! There are many different types of flowers here (as you can tell from my photos). Even though some plants were not in bloom, I absolutely loved what I did see! They even have a Japanese garden and a traditional tearoom, lots of plants and gardens, a large koi pond, and some play areas for kids. So it's a very family friendly place! Highly recommend!

Matt, the Master Gardener, and Jim, the friendly volunteer were kind and answered several questions about the gardens and plants. Lovely well-maintained gardens with art in many areas. Easy to walk around and plenty of shade to rest a spell. Enjoy.

Beautiful gardens, enjoyed the native plants and landscape as well as the Japanese garden and tea house. Much more to see.

Probably my favorite spot in Wilmington. Well maintained, beautifully cared for, super accessible. Highly recommend for a nice walk and a great way to pass a lovely weekend morning.
