The car park is full on Thanksgiving Friday. Raucous voices from the side of the restaurant with the bar and the locals. A quite side for families with children and very helpful staff. I had my first polish food - chicken Paprikash. Tender chicken that falls off the bone with some form of pasta in a paprika based sauce.
Great Serbian comfort foods exquisitely prepared which tastes just like Grandma made. I enjoyed the Chicken Paprikash with dumplings and my wife had the Giblets and Dumplings dinner. Just a perfect meal. Service was great. Very clean restaurant. We need to return soon!
Back again today - enjoyed more chicken paprikash with dumplings!
We first started eating there when it was just a small bar serving the local rubber factory workers on one side and small tables on the left. The grandmother made her awesome pigs in a blanket and my favorite, chicken paprikash. I understand years later there was a huge fire and it burnt to the ground. The neighborhood contributed money along with the insurance company to rebuild. You see, the grandmother built a hospital in her home town with all the proceeds from her kitchen! I think it was Belarus. The Akron Beacon Journal wrote an article on this fine lady! Today, her family continues to run the business. It's absolutely wonderful!
Not good. Dirty. Rude staff and they were slow. The food was overpriced and typical. Very few interesting or ethnic dishes.
I was in town for work and this place was recommended, so we (3 colleagues and I) went for dinner. The meals were just okay, but the desserts were exceptional, especially the strudel. We wound up getting more strudel for carryout the next day.
The chicken paprikash was delicious, as were the other dishes we tried. It was a terrific place to gather with my Serbian family.
This restaurant has been a "must eat" establishment in Akron for almost 100 years. It is still family owned and operated. I've had a great experience every time I've been here. I had forgot about this place but I've recently rediscovered it. Known for as a Croation/Serbian restaurant that also offers plenty of standard American dishes and specials. The chicken paparikash is really good and the dumplings really help make the dish. The portions are large and seem to be even bigger when you take out. My girlfriend ordered the Grilled Pleskavica spicy...grilled sausage type of dish...it tasted good but was not her favorite dish. The desserts are sooo good. I've had the strudel and they are delicious. The custard cake is worth driving out of your way for.
Staff is helpful and sweet. The prices are still pretty reasonable even with today's inflation!
Good food. Reasonable prices for lunch. I had the chicken paprikash. It was tasty, with just the right amount of heat(spices). I had coke for my beverage, and apple strudel for dessert. My check was just at $15. BRING CASH-be aware that this restaurant has a SURCHARGE if you pay with a credit card. The restaurant was generally clean, but the carpet could use a little bit of scrubbing.
Kadilak Fitness is a great gym! Gyms always intimidated me but 8 years ago I found Kadillac. Iâve participated in some classes and personal training as well. All of the trainers are wonderful and always have your best interest at heart. The people
