New East Wind Saginaw - Chinese restaurant in Saginaw - 3747 East St, USA

I was already skeptical on ordering from here due to the location and not ever having it before. Service was nice, there was only one man working. The kitchen looked dirty.. but i tried to look past that due to the good reviews on google. Everything looked good and for the most part tasted good until i opened my sweet n sour sauce and I noticed a fly in there. I am very upset because that pretty much ruined my whole appetite. Makes me wonder what else is in my food and how long or how the fly got in there.

Just went there for our Labor Day dinner because it was just too hot to cook today! 🥵 This was our first time ordering and from the looks of it when we pulled up we definitely had some sketchy doubts lol but looks can be deceiving but as a Chef I try to give fellow cooks the benefit of the doubt. I Ordered the sweet and sour chicken dinner with a couple egg rolls and crab Rangoon and I’m so happy I did because Everything was amazing and tasted so good, my daughter tore that chicken up before I could get pictured lol We will be back in the future.

Great service and great food. Service was friendly My cousin from rural Tennessee said this was the nicest restaurant she’s ever seen(or eaten at), and I don’t doubt it. Will eat again. Yummy in my tummy!

Really great food! We ordered online and did take out and when we arrived we were a little concerned because the place looked very run down. DON'T let the looks deceive you! The food is REALLY GOOD!! They also have excellent vegetarian options!

Rice was ok and the chicken was reheated, like from the night before in the same container as if it was prepared for the next day. $25bucks gone and tried to short change me. New owner so it’s not the same as it was before COVID.

Looks can definitely be deceiving and that is definitely the case for this place. I've lived in Saginaw for eight years and was always scared to try it until today. Ordered takeout of orange chicken, house special lo mein, crab cheese, egg roll, spring roll, and hot and sour soup. Everything was spot on and amazing. The most filling I've ever had in a crab wonton and great flavor. The orange chicken was spicy but full of flavor. There was a lot of meat in the lo mein and it was so good. The egg roll was huge and had amazing flavor as well. The soup had a lot of veggies. Everything was big portions and a good price. I would definitely go back here. Don't judge a book by its cover folks.

As we all know, looks can be deceiving-especially with a place like this. Although the restaurant may seem to be in need of some TLC, all of the tender love and care is exerted in the kitchen. I had the General Tso's chicken, with Pork Fried Rice, and 3 egg rolls. (which were MASSIVE, and house-made to boot!) Do keep in mind that they do not have any inside seating available for eating at the restaurant; this, however, is not much of a problem when you have food this good. It is my opinion that there is not a better place for Chinese food anywhere in this part of the state. It's simply excellent.

Great food. I only ever see one guy working, but he does a great job on the food!
