I came to Colorado Springs needing to be downtown on a very tight budget. Yes, Nevada Flats, is a no frills hotel and because it is cheap, yes there are people around just like any other city these days. The great thing about this ultra cheap motor inn is its location. It is just a few blocks walk to the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. My room was very clean, everything worked, cable TV and cold AC. My bed was comfortable and I felt rested every morning. Again, this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place (no coffee in room) but a “Loyal Coffee” bistro is just a 3 minute walk about 1 block or so. I walked over there every morning for delicious coffee to start my day. Also, the front desk manager Rebecca was super helpful with my reservation and ensured I had access to my room even though my flight in was delayed into the late night. And again, this is the city, but I never felt “unsafe” like other reviews have expressed. Also note, this is a downtown motor inn/motel that rents at 75 dollars a night that boasts downtown location among other hotels that charge 200-300 a night. My room was dated, but it was clean and functional.

Waited some time to write this review to give the company a chance to do what they needed to do but failed to do so. This hotel will hold on to your security deposit and fail to return it to you. Look through other reviews and you will see this has happened more than once to other people. I’ve called on the matter MULTIPLE times. Was told once that they were able to see that I had stayed and they my deposit refund was not yet processed and that they will do it right then. Still never got it back. Called again and was told they have no record of me ever staying there even though I gave them exact dates of when I stayed and the dates reflected on my bank statement for when they took $50 for the deposit. Needless to say, don’t waste your time and money for a subpar motel room downtown unless your prepared to lose more than what you were spending and enjoy the smell of musk and cigarettes along with a poorly working AC unit.

Overbooked the hotel, so we unfortunately got the boot. They swore they cancelled the reservation and tried to contact us, yet I have no evidence of such (they had both email and phone #). They also refused to help find alternative accommodations. Travel company I booked through ultimately contacted them and THEN my refund was processed (they also had no notification that my reservation had been cancelled). I understand mistakes happen, but the terrible customer service and lack of communication were definitely a choice! From what I could see outside, the pictures online were doing it a lot of favors. Hopefully dodged a bullet!!

I booked this place to save some money vs the nicer hotels closer to town. I would have much rather of spent the extra money!! The hotel itself is not the nicest but not awful either. The area is the WORST THOUGH!!! I wish I would have known this before I booked this hotel. It’s more of a motel. Homeless people EVERYWHERE! In the parking lot, sitting on the bench at the hotel, all over the streets around the hotel! No one runs them off, just lets them be there. My boyfriend was outside for not even 1 minute on the second story floor and a woman asked him for a favor and it was to give her $10. My car got broken into which is our fault for not locking it and we ALWAYS do but accidents happen and we didn’t. We went in around 10pm ish. Came out to the car 6am next morning and it was completely ransacked, whatever we left in the car (not much) was all over the place, he stole some things that wasn’t a big deal but still frustrating. If you do stay here just BE SURE TO LOCK YOUR CAR!!! The homeless probably come by every night and check every car.

I regret why I rented such an awful stinky and dirty place. I was traveling from out of state for a vacation with my daughter. The front desk receptionist was the most rude human being I have ever come across in my life. I arrived early due to the schedule for my flight. I was told by the most rude and evil front desk receptionist that I hade to pay $25 for showing up early. I told her that I would rather wait until the time she is ready to allow me in. She had the curtsy of telling me to go out side and wait till 4:00 p.m. when it was time for me to check in. imagine there was no where I could sit with my daughter apart from waiting for almost to the time for check in. She started arguing with me that I had to pay a deposit of $50 to cover any damage I can cause on their property during my stay. She gave me a paper to sign that was indicating no smoking policy on their property. Ironically, the place was stinking and smelling of awful cigarettes smoking! She went and reported me to the owner of the property who claimed that he was a maintenance guy that I do not want to pay the $50 deposit. I told the owner that I did not refuse to pay the deposit, the issue was concerning her rude manners. I told the owner that I will stay for only that night that was a Monday instead of the four days I had paid to use his property. He told me to go on their website and cancel the next day on Tuesday before I checked out. When I tried the website, It could not give access to cancel! The next day Tuesday, I called the front desk phone number around 9:00am on Tuesday morning and there was no one to answer the phone call! Ironically the voicemail box of a whole Hotel Inn is full. That means you cannot leave a voice mail. I had already booked a flight to head back to my home state! I had to give the room key to one of the ladies that looked like one of the employees who found me confused not knowing who to give the room key to after checking out. The lady was kind enough to receive the key and promised to give it to the receptionist that was not available by the time I checked out. The owner allowed me to check in early after 30 minutes without paying $25 fee for checking in early. The AC was awful! It could function for 30 minutes and turn off for about 4 hrs.! The day I arrived in Colorado springs was 90 degrees with very high humidity. The room was very hot I had to try adjust the AC all in vain! The AC would turn on for another 30 minutes and off for another 4hrs. My daughter who has migraines developed a very bad attack due to the humidity in the room. I was very tired and had no choice but to park up my stuff and leave the next day on Tuesday as I had already communicated to the owner. Th rental fees seems to be a little bit chip. Do not waste your hard earned money on such cheap places for the sake of saving! I would not at all advise any one to rent an Inn without reading the reviews. The carpet in the whole way was smelling of a smell of an old rugged carpet that has not been washed for ages! I called one of the he phone numbers that was on the website after failing to leave a voicemail on the number of the Inn whose mail box was full! I had to check out at 9:07 am on Tuesday! Remember I had paid for two nights from 07/15/24 to 07/17/24! I don think the Hotel is going to refund my money! please do not bather to rent this hotel.

You get what you pay for. I booked here thinking I was saving money. It's definitely the local drug spot with users dozing off nearby. The beds were hard but rooms were clean. AC didn't function but an employee brought up a stand-alone within an hour. Room next door had a cigarette smoker which stunk up our room causing breathing issues. Shower temperature wasn't steady. Broken glass all over outside.

This hotel is in a great location and the rooms are very clean. It looks as though they just got remodeled. For the value, price, and area, this is a great deal and I would definitely come back to stay here. Ive stayed at some other hotels in the springs and they are almost triple the price with the same size room.

Staff is really nice and the place is clean, safe, and really convenient location. Rooms look like they were recently upgraded, so the value for what we paid was great.
